From what I saw this video is that seems both sims are using the same game engine. How does the realism of Take on Helicopters compare to that of flying a helicopter in Arma 2 ? Yes, I know, download the demo o Steam.. I haven't yet because of bandwith costraints in the country where I live (Not USA/Europe, Russia, japan, S-Korea).

TOH uses the same engine but a more realistic flight model then Arma2, however it's still a game. not hardcore flight sim.

Even Arma 2 is "Dumbed down" compared to VBS2 which they sell to the USMC, US ARMY and others.  It's just graphicly superiour.

The trees are a bit epic in scale and as has been said the cars zipping in and out of reality is a bit disconcerting, but it's a beta so hopefully this will all be ironed out.

All flight sims with cars on the ground do that, they are there just for background.

Keeping them onscreen constantly drains system resources.

Ask on the Bohemia forum, but it's unlikely there is an option in the display settings

someone could of course create a mod/addon that does it though.

But like i said, All flight sims with ground vehicles do it, even Simcity did it.

maintaining road traffic is just to heavy to maintain playable game even on powerful systems.

Traffic on the ground seems pretty unrealistic, cars spawning out of nowhere and such, but i guess that's because this is the beta version. Nevertheless it looks very cool.

@MrMisulcia I had a pc with a GeForce 9500GT. it had a dual core processor running at 2.8GHz and 3 gigs of RAM. Loved that thing. Wasn't FULLY my pc tho. now I have a pc with an ATI Radeon 3650, 4 gigs of RAM and a 3.0GHz single core processor. It's more of a quad core macro though. It's got 4 mini cores inside of it. It's alright. I can only run bout 85% of the games out there. I'm gonna be upgrading pretty soon here so that should bump up to bout 95% of the games out there lol
