Is this your first ever video? Wow, I don't think I've ever watched it before, until tonight. Though I do recall your early non-HD vids of Boston you filmed, right after I first discovered your youtube channel.

Not seeing any captions, and seeing it go at regular speed is quite different, versus what I'm used to in your hundreds of more recent vids(non-HD and HD). :) But I still enjoyed this one, of course....

OMG, I HATE driving in those tunnels. It's like a demolition derby waiting to happen every second of every day. SO scary. If you are entering Boston for the first time be prepared to be in about 20 near accidents within the first 5 minutes.

You always drive so slow? That's a freeway, in Toronto and pretty much everywhere I do at least 70 mph, unless a damn traffic jam, but I'm a speed freak so... LOL but I like the video as being in real time so I can read the signs and remember the place I visited in 2005 when they were still working on the that huge underground road project, Boston was all under construction at that time.

@Freewayjim 45mph??? damn, that's freakin' low, the lowest speed limit on the Toronto highways is 60mph or 90 km/h, that's why I said I never drive below 70 mph plus I got lots of protection if you know what I mean. I still enjoyed the video, real time video is like YOU, the viewer, being the driver in that video, my humble opinion only.

@401RoadWarrior It's a normally congested freeway in a tunnel with many curves, I must admit it's probably the proper speed limit for what it is. I-84 through Hartford CT is also 40-45 MPH in places.

Remember the good old days of when the transportation-focused entities of the MA government were separate with MassHighway handling highway maintenance, the EOT handling public transit and transportation administration, the RMV handling driver and registration services, and the Aeronautics Commission handling aviation?

It's all consolidated into 4 MassDOT divisions on Nov 1, 2009. Which do you like better?

Trucks like cargo trucks can't drive in the tunnels going south bound so they would have to take interstate 95 south which curves around boston then connect to 93 north which heads into boston from the south (they dont let trucks froming from 93 south bound into that tunnel cause its "Hazardous" i see those signs all the time haha )

Remember I-90 had tolls to I-84

and I-95 dosnet so

I-95 has no tolls from Hampton Beach to NJ turnpike so you are all set

Most traffic on I-93 south after the tunnel are hedding for Providence Ri, New Haven ,NY City, Los Anglas, Miami and points south and west while Traffic on Mass pike west are for Worchester, Albany,Chicago, Seatle, points NW

I couldn't see the signage very clearly, but it looked like some of the signs towards the beginning of the video maybe use the ClearView font. Is ClearView used on new signage in MA?

They need to fix the lighting 6 miles before you get to the Zakim Bridge. If they can afford to spend 15B underneath the ground why cannot spend a litte bit extra to fix the lighting to make it presentable. That 6 miles spread is the worst major city highway lighting system period. Especially the below deck on on I93.

The initial tunnel was built very poorly, and Boston spent a lot of money to fix it. The govt is demanding a small refund (a couple hundred million) for "shoddy work"
