@cicalaProductions I'm sorry i do not remember what patch i had. It would have been a patch for around when this video was uploaded. I remember reinstalling the game though and playing at highest settings and my FPS are low

Hey man... I would telll you my settings but I really can't remember.. Everything is set around the 30- 40 range and the one that goes to 16 is at the max... everything is on very high or high. Im playing at 1920 X 1080 on a 40" screen aswell lol.

@BwSChannel shadow problems usually show a problem with the graphics card itself. the lag, i'm not sure because I have the same processor as you well the 555 at 3.2ghz (stock lol) and I don't lag. How much RAM do you have?

@BwSChannel in your GTAIV folder (the one with GTAIV.exe or something like that

create a txt file called commandline.txt

put these options in it (copy and paste)

-fullspecaudio

-norestrictions

-nomemrestrict

then make sure to run the game with Definition OFF

this fixes motion blur, shadows, and vsync and nearly tripled my framerate

Eh, I need to upgrade my CPU. This game must be very CPU intensive because I don't have a problem running any other games, but this one I do. I have the same card as you as well. =/

Hey man, what CPU are you running at the moment? Also, be sure to make sure it's not bottlenecking and you have the latest patch for the game.

@waackomann I have a very bad CPU, let's leave it at. lol it's the only part of my computer I haven't upgraded yet. I heard they optimized GTA 4 recently so I'm going to give it another shot. Too bad this game is so big, blah.

What cpu do you have? Nice btw. :D I get 48.** on the benchie in game. with 3.6 tri core 720 phenom + 4870 1gb oced to 795 and 1050 with 4gb and highest settings and 1920x1080. :D

thanks, These are Very high and highest settings view distance set to around 25 or 30 i cant remember. I didn't use Sony Vegas this is taken from the game recording :P

will do better than this xD lol.. Your GPU will do great and with 6Gb of RAM will run smooth :P These FPS arn't that high but trust me the graphics look even better than this video and when the weather gets bad looks AMAZING!!

nah man, Xbox and PS3 are 60FPs max, but the human eye cant see much more than 60 FPS just helps with more FPS when lots of things are happening and stuff :) especially with explosions.

no no no..... when playing a game at 25 FPS you can tell the difference between 25 and 30. TV shows are broadcasted at 29 FPS.
