  • I wonder, are the Hmong who fled from China and into Indochina during the mid-1800s closer to the original Hmong than the Hmong Chinese of today? I would imagine so because the ones who fled into Indochina became isolationists and lived in the mountains, thus retaining a more intact culture.

  • It's incredible how much culture has directly survived from the Hmong of China to the Hmong who fled into Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam.
