There should be no way to buy things within the game. You should have to go to the tap zoo sight to buy these. And I absolutely have to agree that no virtual animal should cost $60usd with no way to earn it. I could take my child to a real zoo for that price.

go to Settings => General => Restrictions => Enable Restrictions then create password for the restrictions and turn off In App Purchases

@HomemadeGeekSquad These games have things like "stars" and "cash" which you can't earn in any way possible. These stars and cash are needed to get things in the game. They have options to buy things up to 100$ in ONE purchase!! When I come across games that force real money spending I just hack them. I dont appreciate companies that think a virtual animal is worth $60 USD with no way to earn it.
