I recommend the CD "Lingua Mortis", Rage with the Prague Philarmonic... the best band + orchestra work ever recorded! Forget about Metallica and U2. The only recording that may keep pace with this CD in terms of quality is Deep Purple with the Royal Philarmonic.

in fact there is a german word "rage" derived from latin: rabies so i think it means the same as english "rage", but other pronounciation.

But i agree that they chose the english one for their name.

In the beginning they called themself Avenger and later (had to) changed it into rage.

Rage was their feeling losing their bandname to this other band (which is long forgottan now)..

Black in mind, probably, their best album, heavy but still melodic. Visited their show once, in russia. It was impressive.

Yup. Saw them two times now (one time regular, one time with orchestra) - two of the most kick-ass shows I ever seen in my life! Victor and Peavy are great on stage (André rules too, but he is... well, he's just a drummer - no offence xD), and the atmosphere will catch ANYONE. Were enough people who heard them and said "they suck", and then got a boner as they were at a show.

Absolut. Sind halt 3 Vollblutprofis, die ihre eigene Mucke auch noch geil finden.

Victor hat der Band auch gutgetan. Die Griechen waren auch toll, mussten aber ja mit Sub7even ihren grooooßen Durchbruch in der Populärmusik antreten (hihihi).

Eine neuere Band, die ich live ähnlich beeindruckend finde, ist übrigens Billy Talent. Nicht schlagen, die gehen wirklich ab und spielen sauber. Der Gitarrist von denen ist seinen Emo/Alternative/wasauchimmer-K­ollegen meilenweit vorraus.
