What I said is right. The Beach Boys have played n White House for the president ( Lyndon Johnson, if I remember this properly ). This provate show was given during the antiwar campaign in which even John Lennon was involved. So, obviously, even an earthworm would know they were supporting the US government. actually, Paul McCartney stated in an interview that the Beach Boys' album Pet Sounds was the main inspiration for their album Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club and that him and all the other Beatles were listening to Pet Sounds on a daily basis around that time.

The Beach Boys have influenced a lot of western music, including many timeless rock bands and the like. Brian Wilsons vocal style and song-writing skills reached levels of complexity that artists of today will never reach.
