I have a photo of this object.....Was working at a photo lab back in the day and the person who took the series of photos let me keep a set....never really thought about it until about a year ago I decided to look at them and noticed the weird object....of course it's a lot clearer in the pic than in this video.....and it is a very curious looking object...

couple things..

one, it is known as fact, and was known before hand that the O rings on the solid rocket boosters on the shuttle could not effectively and safely operate at the temperature of the launch site at that time, causing a fuel leak and the combustive equivalent of a short circuit.

and two, this was filmed over 20 years ago, cameras were very unreliable at this time, especially motion pictures, so anomalies that small were commonplace, especially after zooming in that far on a still.
