@superbard0ck Its called Berserk and its anime based on AMAZING still on-going manga series.

The main hero Guts is member of mercenary group "Band of the Hawks", lead by Griffith (dude with iron mask), who is his best friend. There is also a woman called Casca, member of the group, who loves Griffith. Griffith has a dream, about having his own country. Guts leaves the group and defeats Griffith in duel. After that, he wents insane and does it with kings daugther. He is tortured for two years.

Meanwhile, Guts and Casca fall in love (in manga, they have propably the most beutifel and natural love scene ever). They and the Hawks save Griffith, who is now crippled and cant even stand. After that, the necklace he got as a child, activates and teleports them to demon dimension (\eah, there are demons in that world, I forgot to mention). The God Hand (four demon demigods) explain to him, that he was born to become their leader and they can give him new body.

But, he has to sacrefice everyone he cares about (the Hawks). He agrees. We see all those characters die. except for Casca and Guts. Griffith apears, now in his demon form, and as a revenge for leaving him he rapes Casca and demons forces Guts to watch. They are saved by Skull Knight (basicly, he is something like good demon). Guts loses eye and hand. Casca wents insane and doesnt let anyone to touch her. Guts gets new hand, and decides to destroy Godhand.

This moment is the end of the anime, and its not some disturbing twisted hard core manga porn, actually its a culmination moment of the Best in the world story line manga, which stretched from the begining of berserk to the betrayel of Griffin who sacrifised all of his Friends to satisfy his greed and ambition, ofcourse its not that simple but im gonna lave it at that. Its a Brutal Anime and not for everyone, but genious.
