Except for when I listen to Bea Wayne, or Ella Mae Morse, or Ella Fitzgerald, or The Boswell Sisters, or The Andrews Sisters or Mildred Baily, or or Dorris Day, or Eddie Gormay...
Allmost forgot...Or Helen O'Connell, or Loretta Lee, or Billie Hoolliday, or June Christy, or Margaret Whiting, or Martha Tilten, or Peggy Lee, or Vera Lynn...
Thank you again for posting this delightful number with Benny Goodman's orchestra and Helen Forest with her lovely voice. That era of music was superb.... the Big Bands and singers were the best.
Amen! to catman's extravagant, though much deserved, praise of Helen Forrest. It can't be coincidence that so many bands wanted her.

I've heard many arrangements of this great tune, but this is by far the best... Always loved Hellen forest.. One of the best big band singers.

@Vevey2004 I think that she was the best female big band singer.

Great song and wonderful Benny Goodman and Helen Forrest vocal.
Other great vocals for this song by Ethel Waters and Barbra Streisand.
I think the song is from the musical CABIN IN THE SKY, if I'm not mistaken/
