  • i love cars

  • Sound quality could be a little better...

  • I had one exactly like this and let me tell you eddie "DO NOT EVER SELL THIS MACHINE" you will be like me and cry in your beer everytime you see one.

  • Beautiful!

  • i just got a boner

  • Hurst wheels Absolutely. but not these wheels. Does not fit the car...

  • @ghm389 psst.. just be glad they arent 24's lol

  • Those old cragars suck, I don't know why people still run those. There's so much more to go with these days...Love the goat, dump the wheels!!!!

  • my favorite car

  • I like the wheels!

  • the thing chirped in almost every gear! funny as hell

  • Memories.

  • 2 great muscle cars!!!

  • Beautiful sound. Love the chirps from the rear tires after the burn out as he kicks it into 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Nothing beats a good 389 tri-power.

  • Beautiful 65 GTO, but! Your video sucks because you’re moving the camera to much Dud.

  • GTO is the original muscle car. A classic for any era.

  • @samaritan00 I feel you on that one man... people of all ages want a piece of my 66 GTO. Hell im a youngster myself. Its been a long process to get her where she is though. A labor of love.

  • @samaritan00 Technically isnt the first muscle car, that goes to the 62 Dodge Polara and Fury, Dart with the 413 and later 426 max wedges and the aluminum noses. No what made the GTO appear to be the first was the massive and awesome commercialization of it. But even then it wasnt even fast for its time.

  • I remember Hot Rod matching one against a 1989 Turbo 6 Trans Am. Of course the TA won but the test was so slanted it was sickening. They allowed the TA's intercooler to be packed with dry ice. The owner of the GTO granny shifted at 5000 rpm. They had to run on 87 octane so he turned back the timing to stop the pinging. Lost 50 hp. And he had bias ply tires. He lost by only .7 of a second yet Hot Rod proclaimed it proved the superiority of new cars over old muscle cars.

  • @mongoose704 I will say that new muscle has the whole "efficiency" factor down. Put when it comes to muscle, The true tiger will show its strips. 87 octaine is not fair on a three double carb car. if anything, the 65' needed the ice more, just because modern radiators are better... Bias ply tires arent nice huh? Imagine if Delorene was able to close the deal with BF goodrich, he would of had street tires, 20 years before their time... I would love to pull up next to an 89 TA with my 66 GTO.

  • @mongoose704 I think I still have that magazine with that article. It actually was Pontiac Magazine or something. The Trans Am also had a "gasp" Buick Grand National engine in it! Phooy! Why Pontiac was not allowed to develop their own engines is beyond me. The Pontiac in the late 80s and 90s were Chevys dressed up as Pontiacs anyways. The drive train and engines were all Chevy. Too bad.

  • can you roast second? i have a 67 Lemans with a stock 400 out of a 67 catalina station wagon with t400 and 373 and it roast second and churps 3rd all day long

you should definitely take a video of just roasting every gear you can..... check out my videos

  • it is all original and has never been off the frame, its mint condition, all original body panels, never winter driven, the color is original teal torquise but i painted it black, always wanted a black GTO

  • it was bought new in Kentucky by a doctor, then a collector brought it to Michigan in the early 70s, my friend bought it in 1974 and brought it to Ontario, i bought it in 1983 and have had it ever since.

  • At 16 year old my Dad said he would sell mine if he caught me racing it, well guess what he sold it but it was kicking ass for months before he caught me ,lmao !!!! Mine looked just like this one wondering if it was bought in St. Joseph , missouri !!!! 53 and still missing it

  • carefully... carefully..... LIGHT EM' UP hahaha i love this vid

  • Omg!!!!! some day I'll have nice things :') someday

  • MY dad didn't have one of these hahaha but I got one, a rat rod with a 69 400 and a m20. burns rubber in 1st 2nd 3rd.

  • Nice!!! Had one this color, I had a mild 428 tri out of a 69.... had it 2 years and broke 5 muncies!! Oops lots of torque!!

  • my dad has one with a pontiac 461, a 700r4..but his is convertible.

  • Very nice 65. My dad had one very much like that one except it was maze yellow and had the royal bobcat bathtub around the tri power

  • My Dad had 3 GTO's, not all at the same time, but he had 2 different 65 GTO's. When I was 16 unfortunately my Mother sort of forced my Father to sell it. That GTO was Met. Green, Black interior Hurst Transmission, Upgraded Carb and Headers, Hurst Tach, and had the original Wire wheels and tires. DAMN! now they cost like 40K for one with all matching numbers... ... OH well it was a great car.

  • evan Ralph Nader liked the 65 goat!! hahaha love it

  • rofl that car has the turning circle of Wyoming, but dam it looks sexy

  • 65 GTO. The best

  • Sweet ride! I got a couple `65 GTO burn-out videos too. You can't beat the God Father of all Muscle cars!!

  • Ok well im pretty pissed because the other day i found out it is a 301 with a 4 barrel. so im going to try to find a 400-455 engine and tranny for cheap and build it up. we also found out that the engine was a 1980 not 1970.

  • ok well we found out that the engine was made October 16-17 1970. So that norrows it down to 3 different engine, the 350, 400, or 455. Now i think it is a 400 because it Doesnt look like a 350 at all and it is not big enough to be a 455. so im going to take off the intake manifold and take the plate that is under the intake manifold off and then look at the numbers on it.the engine also has smog crap on it so im going to get a new carburator and headers and flomasters for it. it has a spreadbore

  • Pontiac 326-350-400-455 all look the same you can't tell by just looking at the motor Here are casting numbers located on flat machined pad on passenger side of block next to timing chain cover 1970 (350 c.i.d.) #9799916 1970 (400 c.i.d.) #9799914 1970 (400 RA III) #9799914 1970 (400 RA IV) #979991(5) 1970 (400 RA V) #481708 1970 (455 c.i.d.) #9799140 1971 (350 c.i.d.) #481990 1971 (400 c.i.d.) #481988 1971 (455 H.O.) #483677 1971 (455 c.i.d./late H.O.) #485428
  • my dad just bought a 1967 poniac GTO. we cant figure what engine is in it

  • 67 came with the 389

  • Your all wrong

The 66 GTO was the last year for the 389 and also the last year for tripower carbs.

67 was first year for 400 ci motor

  • its usually a 6.5 litre 454 big block if im not mistaken

  • haha nah 455 is ponitac engine.. and 389.. 454 is chevy

  • First is it even a Pontiac motor ?, people change motors all the time.

You need to find casting number to id

look on side of block below head

later Pontiac blocks have cast 2 inch high numbers such as 350-400-455 denoting displacement.

search the internet GTO Forums/ Clubs/ or about any subject to 67 GTO even id numbers you get more accurate information on these cars there

  • you should paint it an iris mist it will be even better.

  • I've been shopping for a '70 Chevelle SS, but this vid makes me want a 65 GTO. Not because of the burnout, but they look so good going down the street. I want a red one, though.

  • Vary Nice 65 GTO! I would Sher pic that Pontiac over that Chevy any-day-of-the-week

  • That car is perfect down to the Cragars. Good job.

  • its all original, rust free Kentucky car, never been restored either

  • Damn that is a beautiful GTO. Pounding my head on the desk for selling off my '65 back in 1990. Ah well. Congrats on a sweet ride.

  • is it all original? looks/sounds great.

  • nice i found aconvertible 68 and ill buy it
