  • I like the videos. One thing I have noticed is that Indiana has crappy weather.

  • @jcmonr81 True... it does seem that way. You guys get a good look at it since I post video just about every week. This winter has been mild though, usually I have a foot or two of snow to wade through. :)

  • the ACR is extremely easy to field strip and i also like the non recipricating bolt. for some ppl thats a problem with hand placement and attaching lights or lasers. its still an awsome gun but i like the ACR very much. id bet my life on either of them though.

  • I liked the M1 Garand and M1 Carbine - no tiny parts to lose when field stripping in the dark or in mud and snow. That is why they call it field stripping. Nice to see that in the ACR field stripping that the little pins don't come out whereas in the SCAR the charging handle comes out and can get lost. There is no real reason to disssemble the bolt group in both rifles in the field.

  • wow i am not a weapon expert and watching this acr disambled seems like it's just a toy :D

  • I don't have an ACR, but, I found out recently that Bushmaster will be releasing a 6.8SPCII Conversion kit within 2 months. However, it was promised to be out a LONG time ago so It may be longer, I was assured that it's definitely coming out by bushmaster representative.

  • i say inseat of deploying only small groups of scars and acr's to only special forces i think that our secretary of defense and our high chain of command of generals from the USMC ,ARMY,NAVY,AND AIRFORCE should recomend a total replacment to the modern day bush master 6.8 magpul masada acr or as extended version adaptive combat rifle to give our armed forces a upper hand in battle

  • @USMCsemperfitillidie Yea but think about re teaching EVERY service member to use a different gun. In my opinion the HK416 would be better since its essentially the same platform as the M4. Service members wouldn't have to go that extra mile since they are already familiar with the M4. With the ACR its school all over again. Too much time and work. The HK416 is a fantastic weapon as well. I'd like one if they weren't so expensive.

  • what happened to this trial to replace the M4?

  • I carry mine around in public places.

  • They should use the XCR. its a really great gun

  • ACR is overrated. The only reason it's popular is because of Future weapons and Call of Duty. Scar to me is a much nicer gun, and it's lighter. Now if Magpul would have had the production capacity to make the rifle, it probably would have been better, and lighter.

  • i think that the acr mark1 looked cooler. it looked alot smoother. if you dont know what im talking about, watch the future weapons episode(or for you people who only know this from cod, which annoys me, its on mw2.

  • I know the charging handle moves with the bolt with every shot on the SCAR, but does it do the same with the ACR?

  • ACR IZ DA BEST

  • acr

  • @MrNygiants5666 go fuck ur self u probaly still sit home and play with barbies fag. u probaly still ask how are babies made

  • carbeen juggernauts are you a cod player?

  • @dalton35100 do you even realize what you said?

  • What do you think about the Hk 416?

  • @GreatToastMigration It's pretty much a revamped M4 with a new gas system instead of D.I. . The rails will also except anything that the M4 would. Also, they are much more reliable, they can be submerged in water (over the beach) then shot. M4's seem not to work to well after over the beach :(

  • @stormercody not true at all..m4 can function reliable when submerged in water with breach nope

  • @JUKEBOXX1990 ok, show me some proof

  • they both suck

  • im not even a soldier, im just watching this cus im a cod player

  • So would the commercial availability be affected if one of the guns make it to use in our armed services?

  • @jameswray50 More than likely, yes. The weapon that was selected would suddenly become very scarce. All production would go to meet the military contract. You wouldn't see them on the civilian market again until that contract was satisfied.

  • @Sturmgewehre

FN SCAR and HK 416 are already in service in US special forces like Delta Force, DEVGRU aka Seal Team 6, 75 Ranger Regiments, and other special forces.

They are other weapons to replace the M4A1 & M16A4 like M468, Robinson Armament XCR, LWRC M6A4, SIG 556, Bushmaster ACR, & Colt ACC-M. The Marines doesn't favor LWRC M6A4 only HK416.

It would be better if they test fires XCR, SIG 556, ACR, & Colt ACC-M to see which assault rifles is better.

  • ACR > Scar

  • Well stormrifle you do wonderful reveiws and this has been very helpful

  • Will one of these replace the M16/M4?

  • @TheScrapMonster going through field trials now

  • @TheScrapMonster doubtful, expensive as hell and made for spec-ops, only advantages to the M16 family are reliability, ergonomics, and ease of caliber/barrel change.

  • @TheScrapMonster no, they wont replace the m16 for a while

  • Just an FYI, not sure if you have included it on any of the other videos, but Bushmaster/Remington announced they are making a few changes to the ACR design that is coming out shortly. I don't remember the full list, but a few changes are a folding charging handle, and I believe they also decided against the folding stock on the enhanced version. It still looks exactly the same, but is now fixed.

They have also announced a few different variations that are releasing soon.

  • @skllStitches I just realized you had a video of the changes on your channel. Now I feel like an ass, because you are clearly aware of the changes. Hope to see some reviews of the changes then!

  • I'm gay any boys wanna hook up?

  • woops i thought this was airsoft. :P

  • damn it $2000 is a little too pricy

  • If it is possible to shorten the stroke on this ACR then I'll be picking one up.

  • Does the SCAR use a pencil barrel? Is that an issue for a military weapon?

  • bout time.. the m4 wus getting old& becomin lame to look at

  • where's the serial number gonna be?

  • @arsdag81 The serial number is on the upper for both rifles. The lowers do not have serial numbers.

  • @Sturmgewehre where are the disconectors?

  • @arsdag81 the serial number would be found near the magazine weld

  • gee they thought of everything for this gun

  • 2,000 USD for some plastic crap who is size of delivery truck. xD USA never stop making me laugh.

  • @bittemeinrammstein what are you talking about?

  • ROBARM XCR IS AN ACR BUT LESS COMFORTABLE AND IS CHEAPER

  • @JTelli786 The ACR IS THE BEST ASSAULT RIFLE ON THE MARKET IN ALL CATAGORIES EXEPT PRICE,BUT WHEN IT WINS THE CARBINE COMPETITION IT WILL BE CHEAP

  • @TheRAZORBLADE99 not it want. the Only ACR on the market for civilian use is the Bushmaster. the one running for military trials is made by remington.

  • Scars kills acr's and then comes back for seconds.

  • oh also for the charging handle you would get a rod that you have to insert between where the charging handle would go to make it safe

it would be orange cause the color in the video is scary

there would also be mag and bolt release buttons so you need the tip of the round to release the mag and the bolt

there wont be a muzzle break cause that hides the flash completely

and the gas block would be gone

if you want more upcoming features for the peoples republic of newyork scar rifles just ask

  • in newyork this rifle would have ALOT of safety features

Charging handle would be gone, since criminals use it to load evil rounds

the stock would be locked in the farthest position but you could get any stock in any position but they would all be locked

the barrel would be a "sporter" and 35 inches long

the stock wouldn't fold cause thats what bankrobbers use to compactly shoot

the flip up sites would be locked in the "down" position

and a max of 2 round magazines

    that would make it safe~

  • ME and my dad are looking to get a couple of good modern gun. Although im stuck on the ACR my dad want a 308(Scar 17s). Im looking for advice of which one to get. If u could please respond and tell me what your opinion is thanks.

  • Enjoyed the series, thanks!!!

  • lol iv been searching videos all over youtube of reviews of the scar and the acr but i never figured to look for one when they are side by side, could some one give me there personal opinion thought, btw im leaning more towards the scar

  • Nice video, very informative and professional.

  • The scar is heavy and have low mobitly if we want to keep more troops alive use acr its more user friendly

  • Comment removed

  • @SteeliesOrbs actually the scar is lighter if you watch part 3 he talks about the weight and balance, the acr is also front heavy so the swing weight on the acr is more so advantage scar

  • Acr looks cooler, but both great

  • I like the SCAR-H Better simply because of stopping powers (As far as SCAR's go) But as for overall I like the ACR more.

  • ACR WINRAR

  • -3 ACR

  • ACR

  • i would prefer to use the scar since i own one at home...(11b) hooah!

  • finally a good review, thank you

  • Good video, thanks

  • He is pronouncing sturmgewehre correctly dumbass. If you watch any history or military channel shows that talk about the german rifle, he pronounces it just like ALL of the firearm historians do. So do your homework before you say something stupid. It is not pronounced the way it is spelled. Any time you see "wehre" in a german word its pronouned "vare". so sturmgewehre is pronounced; sturm-ga-vare.

  • Thumbs up if you came here looking for a MW2 comparison.

  • @TheStrangerWithCandy no and i can garantee lots of people will reply and insult you they always do when cod players comment on real gun videos

  • @TheAlexagius Rofl? People really have no lives if they would insult me over something as minor as me stumbling on this video.

  • @TheStrangerWithCandy people do however i've seen it on many a video, its sad i know, hence my warning to you that on many real gun videos people reply quite nastily to cod comments, Sturmgewehre's subscribers are generally good and i have seen virtually none on his videos

  • When do you think the price if ever is gonna die down to something like $1500? 5 years, or more?

  • haha, I love it how you've picked a channel name that you can't pronounce correctly :D:D

still, nice and informative videos :P

  • The Magpul design was better than the Remington/Bushmaster version.

  • Excellent videos, too bad i live in NYC and am not allowed to own or shot any of these (to my knowledge) :(

  • @XxrushxX1 what do you think about the new Colt SP901 that is coming out? What about the Remington ACR and the Remington gas piston carbine?

  • If anything is going to replace the m4 carbine, it should be the H&K 416...

  • @CaptainNavarro1104 I think it should be the ACR because it is highly adaptive (ACR stands for Adaptive Combat Rifle) you change the barrel length in like 30 seconds or you can completely change the caliber to a 5.56x45 to a 7.62x39 in like a minute or two, their is also way more calibers you can choose from.

(search future weapons about the ACR)

  • I really want an ACR Basic Folder! (That's the one with the polymer fore end & the folding stock.) I don't get why Bushmaster didn't offer that configuration right from the start, especially considering that;s the config of the original Magpul Masada, & the one that most people want. I am glad that they finally saw the light though!

I've never been a fan of the SCAR Light (16S), although the precision rifle based on the SCAR Heavy definitely has me drooling!!!!!

  • @futuresonex If you like the ACR Magpul has a prototype right now in 7.62, it's called Massoud

  • I thought Bushmaster made the ACR? or is Remington for the civi market?

  • @GeLsEnKiRcHeN95 Bushmaster does make the ACR. Remington bought Bushmaster and is working on a their own ACR strictly for military sales.

  • @Sturmgewehre have you done a Robinson Arms XCR L review yet? If not, could you do one? I enjoy all your reviews. Other than slightly disagreeing with the Colt 6920 review. lol!

    Thanks for the great reviews.

  • @Sturmgewehre oesnt bushmaster make the remington AR style hunting rifle?

  • @GeLsEnKiRcHeN95 remington made the masada is looks exactly like the acr but when it failed miserably bushmaster stepped in and played a partnership in redesigning the gun now since they have made one of the best military assault rifles in th world remingotn gets all military sales and bushmaster gets all civilian sales

  • @spiffyprez Thanks for the info, I'm still deciding if I want to get an ACR or a Bushmaster A2 style AR.... The ACR is a little pricey tho, last I heard it was almost 3k.... thanks for the information though

  • @GeLsEnKiRcHeN95 I don't know what spiffy was talking about, but Magpul designed the Masada (ACR) and sold the design to Bushmaster. Remington and Bushmaster are both owned by Freedom Group. A Bushmaster ACR costs around $1900. I believe they have been sold for as low as $1500.

  • I have a big question for anyone knowledgeable on the subject

Can you replace the selector switch? If so whats stopping you from filing down the selector switch on the right side that blocks your finger?

  • @ViolentKisses87 You could take a Dremel to the selector lever. The only reason I haven't is because I haven't ordered a replacement. I was hoping a 3rd party would offer a different lever for sale so I wouldn't have to chop my OEM one up.

  • Its nice to to see another video comparison between those two rifles.

The GunWebsites video comparing the two was ok but I like yours better ^_^

Plus its always nice to have multiple points of view.

  • ACR and SCAR = overpriced AR15... just saying. good vid though.

  • wow wow wow where did you get your dont tread on me flag i fucking want one

  • I'm not a fan of the multi colored rifle. They say it's flat dark earth. Looks like a mix of three different colors of coyote brown. That bugs me, but not as much as the price does.

  • I take my comment back

  • Is this a report

  • Thumbs up for shooting the firing pin across the table! Love your videos.

  • As I'm sure you know, the military ACR will be made by Remington. And will probably be made a little better then the Bushmaster.

  • On if I had $3,000.00 U.S.

  • acr or scar, which one is superior?

  • I am very impressed with this rifle. I look forward to the next video.

  • @sturmgewehr how may rifles do you have? Your taste in firearms is not cheap!

  • @altops I think sturmgewehr was referring to the option of left or right side ejection on the ARX 160. Either way I want one.

  • @Sturmgwehre, is this a repost? What partnership? Either way, I'm check your channel everyday for part 2 and 3! great Job

  • Great review, can't wait to see more in the same series.

  • great vid helluva job

  • can't wait to see how these rifles stack up! btw i'm from AZ, where on earth are you to where there's snow right now?? lol.. Great vids thx

  • Never realized just how alike these guns look.

Just by glancing at them side by side it's damn near impossible to tell them apart unless you notice little details.

  • Berretta ARX160 FTW

  • @Psycholistic1 hey i bet the will enter trials... who knows maybe it will win.

  • @kapelanZnew

The Individual Carbine Competition is a joke. Nothing came of it in 2000, 2006, and the recent controversy regarding the ICC this year will likely set it back even further. As a active duty Soldier, I'd love to have a far more reliable weapon such as the ACR, SCAR, or 416 (ACR seems more likely as it's cheaper). 50+ million down the drain since the ICC inception just goes to prove how stupid the procurement process is.

  • Do you know if the military is looking at changing calibers?

  • @edgybob1 Definitely not. With the Marines now using the MK318 MOD 0 and the Army adopting the M855A1 you wont see a caliber change in a long time.

  • Do you plan on getting the Berretta ARX160 (if civil sales allow)? That would be a good add-on to this series.

Really like your no nonesense reviews, keep up the reat work.

  • Going to be a very interesting series. You said the lower doesn't have a serial number, where would it be located?

  • @biguy525 The upper.

  • You should have a an m4-style AR15 as a control in these.Maybe alot to ask, but maybe throw in some of the other competitors? HK416 (I know you have the civilian version of that), the XCR, and POSSIBLY a REC7. You don't have to put them all on camera, just mention some ways the other rifles are different or better

  • @Sturm, Its my understanding that you buy each weapon and accessory that you review. Do you keep everything or do you sell the items you don't need/care for? Thanks.

  • Amazing video!!! Thank you for posting! Quick question, is the ACR a piston driven system or still the DI system? Same question for Scar? Thanks again for posting!!!

  • @40sigsauer Both the SCAR and ACR are piston systems.

  • I read an article a while back on this same subject...Vs....LOL

but this is MUCH better...I look forward to the rest of it...

    Thanks.

    E1

  • Those guns would look much better in black......just sayin. If a gun is black in color it adds x10 lethality.

  • @FixWithFirepower I have both in black as well as FDE. I just keep the super lethal ones in the safe so no one gets hurt.

  • Beretta sARX-160 latest troop rifle is by far the supreme solution for any army who wants it.

  • @altops So you've shot one?

  • @Sturmgewehre

no I saw nutinfancy's shot show interview with Beretta's booth, and I was thoroughly impressed.

    watch?v=l2bW0vJi83k

And I will if possible get one. sorry if I misrepresented myself.

  • @Sturmgewehre

no I saw nutinfancy's shot show interview with Beretta's booth, and I was thoroughly impressed.

    watch?v=l2bW0vJi83k

  • @altops I've seen the videos from SHOT too. But I'll wait to say it's the greatest rifle ever until I've shot one and it passes military trials... any military trials. It certainly looks great, but I also have some concerns about the unnecessary do-dads that ad complexity to a rifle that should be stupid simple.

  • @Sturmgewehrere what was an unnecessary do-dadd? I thought the design was cave man simple, truly tool-less design, (no bullet tip) and as the booth host said, the rifle was in field operations with Italy's military and police for some time. Push button eject selector, push button assembly and barrel swap was instant in comparison to the next best design, I saw nothing worthy of criticism. And with the heritage and history of Beretta its a site on seen gun.

  • @altops The booth host said these were in field ops with the Italian Military and Police? So what he was saying is these rifles have never been field fired, but passed the drop test at least once. :-P

  • @altops But, with all that being said, I have high hopes for the rifle too and will be first in line with money once they release them. It was one of the most interesting new firearms at SHOT this year for sure.

  • @altops But, with all that being said, I have high hopes for the rifle too and will be first in line with money once they release them. It was one of the most interesting new firearms at SHOT this year for sure.

  • @Sturmgewehre starts @14:00 mark...

  • Respond to this video... if you have no back ground info on this gun it will not disappoint

  • Id rather have the FN SCAR. Ive heard that the ACR can be unreliable at times.

  • How about you also show a military issue M4 carbine in the same manner for comparison - it might make it a more interesting document for non-gunnies researching the issue, as well as allowing you to point out good and bad points of the current M4 vs the two pretenders.

  • If the AXR-160 ever comes out you should throw one them in the mix

  • Both fantastic firearms. I think if I has my choice, I would choose the ACR. There's something about the ACR that appeals to me.

  • Great review!

    Thanks you!

  • LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!

  • I appreciate the modularity of the ACR system, but they should have made it so you can swap out for different pistol grips.

  • btw, please do a review of the S&W MC Operator....ive heard that its most identical to a Wilson Combat CQB or 1911...but w/o the heavy price?? thx

  • Man, I thought these videos were gone forever....freakin pissed me off originally. Thanks for re-uploading. I see you got your "own" intro music now....nice!

    Great review btw!

  • Sturm You're killing me!I'm not even going to be able to afford Ramen Noodles if You keep this up!LOL!Keep up the good work brother!

  • when are you gonna throw them in the mud?

  • Interesting.

  • I'm so glad there're back.

  • @ConcealedFirepower yeah, right. They both fire the same bullet at about the same speed. by definition that means they will be equally effective at killing. As a system one may be a little more effective than the other, but it won't be a big difference because of the intended similarity to the M4.

  • It's kinda ironic that you put and EOTech and an Aimpoint on the two different rifles. Those optics are as controversial as those two rifles are.

  • @mmaaddict480 So very true.

  • @mmaaddict480 I think the best optic is on the best rifle :)

  • Just played COD: Black ops recently.....felt awkward choosing an M14 in the assault rifle selection....as it isn't an assault rifle.

  • @MavHunter20XX The one in the game is. If I remember correctly (been a while since I've touched it), the one in the game is the M14A1 Squad Automatic Rifle. Regular M14's don't always have their selector switches because firing those things in full auto is very impractical. The M14A1's have them permanently installed because they are meant for surpressive fire

  • @zma924 A SAW, as you suggested, is not an assault rifle, it's a light machine-gun (I remember reading up on the M14 that was built up to be a light machine gun). But as for an M14 platform, it's a battle rifle.

  • @MavHunter20XX Ah, you know what? That's right. I was going based off of the list of things needed to be considered an assault rifle but I forgot that firing an intermediate cartridge is on that list, something the M14 does not do.

  • 2 things:

1-as much as I appreciate the design and quality of both of these rifles I wonder; what would be gained by going to either platform if you're going to stay with 5.56X45?

2-I would like to know a bit more about that triggers in both guns-are they about the same as the trigger in the military M4? Smoother? lighter? single or 2 stage? just curious.

  • @51Dss The triggers are nearly identical to the AR. Actually, the ACR has an AR trigger in it. The SCAR has it's own trigger design, but it's still very much a standard military trigger.

  • @Sturmgewehre I see; main reason I'm curious about the triggers is that my Stag AR trigger is "mil spec" which I think is a way of saying "not smooth" LOL feels a bit notchy to me

  • @51Dss I'm with ya. I don't see a need to change unless they go with a a different caliber like 6.8 or 6.5 (witch would be a logistics problem). Even then those could be adapted to an AR platform. If it aint broke, don't fix it (this is coming from an AK guy). There is a reason why we still have C-130's, B-52's, A-10 warthog's, they simply work.

  • @burgerboy13 I'm interested in knowing more about the logistical complications you speak of - 6.8 or 6.5 - exactly what I was thinking - while I like my AR (in 5.56) a LOT - I would love to have one in either of those 2 calibers - I'm really not a hunter-never shot a deer - but considering the latest trends in our economy I would like to have an AR better capable of taking deer, feral hogs, bad guys...etc. - you know just in case the shtf

  • @51Dss the gains include: a more reliable piston design, quick change caliber, quick change barrel, and really nothing else. i dont think theres any reason for our gov to spend that money just to get rid of di, but i'd be glad if they went to 6.8 caus that'd make 6.8 ammo go down.

  • Ooooooo thanks

  • Why is he reposting old vids?

  • @MARCUS6009 Read the description, it's explained at the bottom.

  • Intro ROCKS.

  • I still like Remington's version of the ACR the best.

  • i still say sig 551

  • @derekgrebner87 I say bacon is best

  • @derekgrebner87 I agree, the ACR and SCAR just seem like they are trying to reinvent the wheel.
