  • Nice flash pattern on the Vertex. Which one is it?

  • @dbelleperc

SignalAlert 75 is the pattern they are set to. The alternating effect has been done by setting one Vertex to Phase 1 & the other to Phase 2 of the SignalAlert 75 pattern.

  • Has anybody ever heard of helicopter pilots saying that once the tailgate is open and it's aimed in the air that it is very blinding to them?

  • hey sirennet i have a question

how come customers with tahoes and suburbans, they don't go with the Outer Edge Rear Facing Upper?

    instead of interior lighting

also for the issue with the tailgate open, i'd go with the Outer Edge Rear Pillar

if you have a video or vehicle with those 2 great products installed, could you make a review video

    thanks

  • @kurlis

We have had some customers that have used the Whelen Outer-Edge. It's an item that some end users have chosen to use in their Vehicle outfitting, while others have decided to use other various products.

We don't currently have any clips or Vehicles easily accessible that have both of the Outer-Edge units. We may be putting a Tahoe together in the near future that will be using both. If so, we will be sure to show the completed Vehicle and the equipment used.

  • are they rigged to be always active even if the console is set to a no light mode....say no emergency lights on at all, open the gate and they are off?

  • @toboe399

They have been wired in a manner that does only active them when the warning lights are on.

  • @SIRENNET Nice!

  • @SIRENNET my home city has them turned on at all times when the trunk gets open, because a cop is always in danger on the side of the road when going behind his vehicle

  • Over here in The Netherlands (Europe) we've mounted some TIR 3's or Federal Signal Microled's inside because of the same problem.

  • great...

  • very nice and very creative. i like the fact that they automatically switch on and off when you open and close the tailgate.
