I have read Miranda Lambert was the big Chris Knight fan who got Blake to cover this song. This song was co written by Craig Wiseman. If you don't know who he is just google his name with the word songwriter and you'll find out. No matter if Chris likes Blake or his rendition, I am sure he loves the royalty check he gets from this and other covers like Montgomery Gentry's version of his "She Couldn't Change Me".
