@nontubular, did the performance improve this year when they switched over to their own bird? I'm really curious. The hardware you're getting with their service is made by Hughes?
Considering the amount of other pages this user has open. ANY speed test will fail. Also, who can assure us that this user does not have a badly set up router? The user has to bear in mind that before conducting speed tests for any provider (ADSL, cable or Satellite), there must be no other applications open. If the user has SatLynx as the main ISP and is testing Avanti, the router may need to be re-configured to use Avanti. Just like O2 and BT, as an example, do not use the same settings.

@fredeek but why does it work well on the Satlynx service? Even when using the Avanti speedtest?
It is the other way around, when having multiple applications open and the speedtest is fine you know you're having the connection you're sold.
