I'm not sure if they have a general class, but they are both narrow gauge double-ended Fairlie locomotives.

One of the original Ffestiniog locomotives "Livingston Thompson" was displayed as a static condition when we visited to the NRM.

That's really cool. The Ffestiniog Railway is rather unique, both in engines and the beautiful scenery. :)
