When "Gortoz A Ran" started I had already been thinking about "Art of the Saber." I was vaguely surprised & also thought it was strangely appropriate. Some comments made me think of this story's location; I could very well see it being a part of the universe that 'AotSaber' plays in.
It was interesting I will give you that, other then that I found the film boring at times. Just curious why would you choose so many slow motion shots? Also blood spattered on the Flower at the beginning, why no more blood spatters?
This was sad and kept my attention the entire time. Well written. I have made a few fanfilms but none without sound. I will try this next. Perhaps this weekend.
Very good! Maybe it is just the song, but I have always considered Art of the Saber, Brother's Pain, and Cedars to be a trilogy, with part 2 here being the final, tragic act. Oh, and long live Bayern and Deutchland!
It's sad how after she is stabbed, she crawls back to the bag only to find that it was empty. I loved it! Thanks so much for such a great moral movie. I loved every minute of this artistic film.
It reealy seems that the master is trying to pull back the apprentice from the dark side of the force but fails to do so,with his last breath he decides to kill her, that it is the only thing left to do before he dies.
By the way when cutted by a saber you dont die right away ,qui gon did not die right away and so did anakin who survived a deadly cut so its possible
one of the best youtube videos i've seen in a LONG time, very professional. Was that steam coming off of the water? Subtle, love it. Great music, etc. Five stars.
One of the Best Fan Based Star Wars movies I have seen to date! I really like how you did it like a old Silent film very Original. The music was perfect, It set the Mood for the film. I give it 5 stars for a Job Well Done!
I liked the film. The scenery was wonderful! Where was this filmed? As for the story i couldnt help but think this was a conflict between padawan and master many years after the purge. Perhaps the girl(the aprentice) has fallen, and he was there to stop her. I dont know if thats what you were going for but thats what i got. Are you going to revise this and maybe add lightsaber sounds? That would definately top the movie off! Either way, i love the film, one of the best Fanfilms i've seen.
I can only give you some genneral answers as i didn't talk with the producer (the guy who plays the Master) in depth. As far as i know it was filmed in Bavaria on two seperate locations (one where they did the filming and one for the background shots). I consider it a Fan Film as it was made by a group of Star Trek Fans - but the "Master" still insists that it is actually a chinese KungFu story.
But better go and ask Robert Amper (The Master :-) just search for his name and you'll find his site
I'm not so sure the deaths were realistic. Don't forget that a light saber cuts through anything. I felt the wounds were instant kills tbh. Aside from that, a very beautiful piece of film.
trying to hard movie... the camera is good. Thats all I liked. And the effects aren't bad either. Trying to be too emotional... There is not enough story to make it as emotional as it's made out to be.
Okay I know people are going to call me retarded for this but my eyes are bad so give me a break. What was in the bag? Overal very nice. Voice acting would be better but I understand why you didn't have them. I'd say 4/5. Simply because the fights were good but I have seen better and two there could be alittle more story to it.
the first piece is from "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" and the second piece from "Black Hawk Down".
But i am not 100% sure either - best ask the dude with the nick "movie factory" who made a comment a little down. HE is the one who made the film (as well as the one who played the "Master"). I only uploaded it for him.
Okay now, if anybody wants to ask specifics of how it was done, ya gotta ask the dude with the nick "movie factory" who made a comment a little down. HE is the one who made the film (as well as the one who played the "Master"). I only uploaded it for him.
I recognize the music from Black Hawk Down. Goroloz o ran or something. I liked your video. What program did you use for the special effects. It looks like Andrew Kramer's lightsaber preset.
One of the best Star Wars-based fanfilms I have ever seen! I love the mood of the film, the music, and the scenery. Very dramatic, without the need for words. Kudos.
And the girl reminds me of LeeLee Sobieski... That won me over from the beginning :)
Good job. I love to see star wars fan movies divert away from your run of the mill slash-jump-duck saber duels. You developed a decent plot with no lines. Your leading male portrayed the stoic/serene warrior well while your lead female (who is very pretty) exhibited the seductive side of evil and the polar opposite of what your "jedi" exhibited. I would like to see this story explored more.
Ja das sind die (-: Genauer gesagt ist es eigentlich bloß ein ganz normaler deutscher Star Trek Fanclub... warum se jetzt ein Star Wars Fanfilm gemacht haben weiß ich allerdings auch nicht (-:

This one is just more dramatic.

Beautifully done.
The music was added to the moments that gave me chills, like when the waterfall slowed down, and the looks on each of their faces as they are killed.
Amazing!
I hate dialogue anyway.
Nicely done.
