  • We lost the master !!! Miss you Frank

  • I Love you Frank,,, Please care for my dog in heaven, , But im lookin forward to my Hot Rats album in Heaven,, Im bringin it with me, along with Henrys Collar n Dog Lead,,

  • too right fuck cancer.

  • cancer sucks

  • He named his children Moon Unit,Dweezil,Diva Thin Muffin Pigeen & Ahmet Emuukha Rodan yeah is was on some shit R.I.P.

  • FUUUUUUUUUUUU---! huge mind fuck

  • I love conductors and then I love musicians (more) ... who love and know conductors & arrangers... and then when THEY conduct...oh lordy, the angels stop singing and let the instrumentalists take over. The more I hear this man do/play, the more respect I have for his musicality. AND he loves Russians. Dunno what it is but THEY certainly know how to arrange and compose extreemely well. I'd love to know what is in their (mental) character to implicitly understand SO much about communicating music.

  • Poor Frank...

It sucks seeing him suffer like that.

  • what will all the catholic girls do?

  • @ThoseWhoHaveFallen97 They will become women. :)

  • grande Frank!!

  • good God, i'm crying! watching Frank on Steve Allen, seeing him live and then this(i had never seen) is almost too much

  • after seeing this i'm going to st alfonzos pancake breakfast

  • what would frank say about cancer?

    DON'T DO IT!

  • The beard did it.

  • te amo mi zappa

  • Saw Zappa in February 1988 Warner Theater with the hottest chick I ever dated and she loved it. I was blown away by the show. Best musicianship I had ever seen. Perfection. I'm a guitar player too. Zappa was such an inspiration in so many ways. He was a great front man, orchestrator, performer and look at the guitar influence he left behind. Hendrix was a massive influence of course and Zappa continued that as we see in Vai, Satch, Johnson and many others, but especially Vai.Thank you Frank.

  • @tipuppy2011 I saw him (with The Mothers) at DAR Constitution Hall ... in the late '70s, I think. Those were the days when they let you run up to the front of the stage AND take pictures. I still have the close-ups.

  • @crimsonkng1 You messed up and said "I think". What??? You 'think you saw Zappa????? Were you one of the people carried there on a shoulder drunk? Means you didn't. But thankyou for saving us the trouble and cancelling yourself out. Now answer me back and say "I wasn't drunk" please. And then cancel yourself out again. Please. Don't please. Please don't. I won't if you please. don't. :)

  • @WingsOfTheMind Sorry... but you said "I think". Zappa is not in the 'I Think' category. But you are. I think.

  • @WingsOfTheMind what I meant was, I couldn't remember if it was the late '70s or the early '80s.

  • @tipuppy2011 I saw Zappa later that same year at the NEC in Birmingham on his last ever European tour. I too was blown away by his excellent musicianship.

  • @paulph12002 Frank Zappa was definitely a force of the super natural even though he didn't believe in that. The bands that he put together and the way they played so perfectly together these phenomenal pieces of music was just ridiculously magnificent.

  • @tipuppy2011 True... but ummm.... What about zepplin. Zappa was against the grain. His music is for a select few. But Zepplin is the otherside of Zappa equilibrium. Man I wish....them together equals......... zappazepplin. Why is that not a band name??? Cause no one is talented enough to carry a name like that. Maybe Metallica... but they are too serious. Maybe peppers, but too silly.Pearl Jam where you at? Please stop hiding under radar.((congrats to peppers... hall of fame... finally))

  • @paulph12002 Not that it is a bad thing.... but you must be British. Cause I am a dumbass trying to guess. I am American. The British and Americans need to hump alot more. Those children will control the world. Off subject now, sorry, but we do need to hump alot more. Hump de bump... google it, bet you get peppers. Hump De Bump- and put some pepper on it.

  • @WingsOfTheMind Oh yeah Birmingham gave it away. :) I want your stonehinge. Please put your Birmingham back into my London, that way san diego can finally shove new york, cuz it will soon merge with LA. NY has ALOT of ppl. But bye-bye. but there is no comparison, and I am not arguing...just opinion. But if you want to argue... take it up w/Hollwood, they infected my brain.

  • RIP Frank, a once in a lifetime musician/poet.

  • this breaks my heart seeing him like this so I am forever an asshole

  • Love you Zappa, even 35 yrs later!

  • When Frank died and went to heaven

he saw God sitting on one of his clouds

Frank said; Gee, I´ll be damned, but here you are

and God said; son.. I´ve been warming this cloud for you, Im retiring, why don't you take over my kingdom..

and Frank said; Gee.. OK! ;D

  • Vincent Foster- Ron Brown- Frank Zappa... all of these men were a threat to those that do not give QUARTER. one got a hole in the head, another ended up in a plane crash and a slow death of some nasty chemical that was slipped into food or drink was anthers fate.

The power hungry demons will not stop- the beltway band always plays the same tune.

  • @theguyisinthailand Stop bringing your insane mind into this sad, sad video. Or I'll tell my dad who is in the illuminati and the free masons and is a rothschild and a reptilian to disappear you in a black helicopter and aliens flying saucers 9/11.

  • i think of you when i raise my lonely dental floss.

  • @Hot80s Fuck the fact that cancer fucks back.

  • Frank Zappa was a great artist. Very very sad he had to die so young... It's so sad to see this great man in that condition... Indeed, fuck you cancer !!!!!

  • Like Morrison,Way ahead of his Time...Just A Genius..

  • ZAPPA for President was a nice move, back then !

  • Listen you guy's, if people well none in this world and respected by other great music makers

then this will happend......If you die you go up ( I think ) and you will find a --hearty welcome group-- of people who we're in their time famous as well.

People like, J. Hendrix, Duane Allman, F. Zappa, Janis Joplin and many others .

So, If there are Amps and drumkids they will keep themselfs and others busy.

  • I don't know if Zappa went to heaven or not, but I did learn one thing from him. I will watch out where the husky's go, and I sure as hell won't be eating that yellow snow!!!

  • OSHO!:D lol!

  • Frank Zappa master of musicality.

    above their time.

certainly he is with God and one another genius of music.

Raul Seixas (BRAZIL) Research it and you will amaze.

    Thank Zappa!

to teach, to have an open mind to music.

  • Poor Frank. This is so sad!

  • Saw him in Hawai'i in 72 (73? 74?) and in elpaso Tx 198? (Late eighties). I regret not seeing him in other venues when I had a chance.....great compositions.....too many years without FZ!!

  • Saw him in Denver on 11/14/77, one of the best bands ever. Frank, thanks for leaving us so much music to remember you by

  • R.I.P.

  • MY HEROES NEVER DIE

  • My first concert at 14.

  • FUCK YOU CANCER

  • @Killmovesm Fuck you cancer fucker!

  • such a great person AND a great musician! VERY INSPIRING

  • the world misses you frank!

  • I can´t watch this interview without starting to cry.

Ces images sont très dures, très difficile.

Voir souffrir, puis disparaitre un ami, est toujours une souffrance à vie !

  • I SAW HIM LIVE CONCERT IN FOREST NATIONAL IN BRUSSELS IN THE ´80´S AND THE CONCERT WAS SUPERB, I CAN STILL HEAR HIM JOKING WITH THE AUDIENCE. WE WERE HAPPY THEN.......! R.I.P. FRANKYyyyyyyyyyyyy.

  • rest in peace, my man! MUSIC IS THE BEST!

  • The prostate is a muscle that needs to be exercised. Masterbate or copulate to Frank Vappa music, as a tribute to the man, twice a day and never ignore an inability to pee when you need to.

  • Fuck you, cancer, and bless you, Frank. And artiebarnes is right: prostate cancer is highly linked to tobacco use. Frank liked to say "fuck you" to people who didn't smoke, didn't agree with it, or were PC about banning smoking or whatever. But yeah, it killed that genius.

  • Frank smoked himself into cancer. Don't forget that people! Especially you smokers-

  • @artiebarnes Are you sure you aren't thinking of Bill Hicks? He died remarkably close to the time Frank did, but Frank got to achieve everything he could've dreamed of while Bill got cheated out of it all.. But anyhow, Frank got cancer from nuclear rods his dad gave him to play with as a kid, and he pretty much knew he was doomed from day one. My girlfriend did the same thing & survived ovarian cancer long ago. She currently is following up her more recent kidney cancer with bladder cancer. 1b2s

  • poor frank......his balls did a mutney !!!!.. "we don't like you frank" ..bumpy balls mean CANCER..too stupid to even check....ohh well....really don't give a fuck....

  • Comment removed

  • Both top comments are about god and jesus, well.....it seems only a true Zappa fan would know that he was an atheist...

  • @Deathclawlove

Frank never stated his personal beliefs, ever. He spoke out often about the controls of organized religion and the uncertainty of certain theological beliefs but never once said what he, Frank Zappa, personally believed. A true Zappa fan would know that.

  • Damn, it makes me want to cry...

  • PROSTATE CANCER KILLED HIM. ( Shame)

  • i saw frank many times - he played halloween shows in chicago regularly-

he was alot like miles davis in that they were both geniuses who held the music to its highest level , recruited the best of the best players and just when the music got noticed , changed directions and reinvented themselves- they did this many many times over.

  • We miss you Frank, too bad you didn't put down the ciggies 20 years earlier.

  • @tacomadc And the black water of course. Shame he isn't here.

  • 1993?

He talks in the past, but Nicolas died 1995?

    hows that?

  • Dont eat yellow snow

  • He was a genius.

  • the greatest band ever

  • I love Frank Zappa. He created some of the most sublimely beautiful and original music that exists. His greatest gift though, IMO is a sort of philosophy that can be gleaned from studying not only his music, but all of the interesting things that he had to say. He fused high and low culture, made us laugh, rocked us with his guitar, but most of all was a shining beacon of hope in a world full of plastic people. I think there would be more artists like him but none of us are as smart or driven

  • Frank

When Frank died and went to heaven

he saw God sitting on one of his clouds

Frank said; Gee, I'll be damned, but here you are

and God said; shut up 'n play yer guitar

  • @MrEefvancleef And it was GOOD!

  • Comment removed

  • @MrEefvancleef .....with all your composing you're clearly no loafa,

so come and join me on my heavenly sofa.

  • @MrEefvancleef - So true !!

  • @MrEefvancleef

    Like that! I'm gonna print on a t-shirt !!

  • @MrEefvancleef LOL no. If modern day Christians are anything to go by, then god is an up-tight asshole and would send Frank straight to hell with all the other cool cats.

  • @WhoClashQueenStones Not at all actually. Modern day Christians are good people. It's the hate fill, fundamentalist hardcore right wingers you have to watch out for.

  • @stgm Read the Bible. God is a prick.

  • @stgm oh...shut up.

  • Such a sad loss. The guy never drank. Never did drugs. Chain smoked, yes. A true musical genius. My lifelong buddy is married to his niece. Been listening for 35 of my 45 years. My dad was a classically trained pianist and had utmost respect for his creativity. Seeing him so weakened like this weighs heavy on my heart.

  • If a genius is recognized by everyone he is not a genius. How could a moron ever recognize brilliance or genius? These douche bags are the same nut jobs who would have nailed Jesus to a cross. Rest in Peace Frank.

  • Comment removed

  • HE WAS OK, BUT THE MUSIC WAS OVER-INDULGENT AND LACKED MELODY. I AM NOT A JUSTIN BIEBER FAN, BUT HE AND LADY GAGA HAVE BETTER MELODIES!!!

  • I love Jesus and I happen to think that Frank Zappa is a musical genius! Not all people who believe think that way - I have been listening to Frank since I was 13 years old - I am now 49. He always had the best of the best musicians and my sons dig him as well - so there - said my piece - and peace to you

  • @wendyreneeful Do you want a medal for that ?

  • frank zappa will always stay in my heart. he should never be forgotten. ever. the greatest musician genius of the 20th century. in my heart he will always stay alive. zappa still rules.

  • His eyes ! FULL of life. Trully Artist Genius. BIG BANG !!

  • Still missing Frank. I can only wonder what he had yet to accomplish. The world lost a true artist.

    Thanks for the video man...

  • It hurts to see Frank like this. How many months (or weeks) before his death was this filmed?

  • What a life. And what a legacy.

  • @BlueSoulJim and your mom looks like big mama

  • Cancer is such a sad disease, especially when you see it first hand devour the soul and body of someone close to you.

  • No one should comment in a negative way on someone they never met . I met Zappa in 1970 or so and watched him rehearse his Mothers of Invention and he was an intelligent and kind man , very open to people that other"Hip" people would think too square to bother with..

His understanding and creation of music is far beyond many of the "heroes" in the industry .He is greatly missed. Nelson DeCoteau

  • I am now sad.

  • Comment removed

  • @dotothenn WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT! I AM FROM TEXAS AND I CALL A SPADE A SPADE. WHILST IT IS SAD HE DIED, HE WILL ONLY BE REMEMBERED AS A "WIERDO".

  • Comment removed

  • @dotothenn FRANK ZAPPA WAS NOT A GENIUS, HE WAS A NOVELTY. THE ONLY TRUE GENIUS (APART FROM ELVIS PRESLEY) IS TED NUGENT DUDE!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @dotothenn Man that Grand Wazoo song was amazing. I am now a fan of this man. I never knew he was that good!!! Thanks Bro.

  • @MrGeorgios2020 Ted Nugent is a fag and Elvis died on the crapper. Troll elsewhere please. Zappa fans care not for your opinions. Because they are just that, opinions. And JayStickley said it best, a genius is not a genius if he is recognized by everyone as being so. So thank god for shitbrains like you to remind us of just how incredible and different this mans music truly was. And stop typing in all caps, jackass. IT MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE A TEN YEAR OLD!!!

  • @MrDip6U i agree elvis was great!!!! buddy holly too, chuck berry, bo diddly <------- how ever you spell his name - all great!!!!! zappa was good too!!! the banana splits are the best!!!! oh and also hal roach "little rascals music

    " was the bomb!!!

  • @MrGeorgios2020 There are many, many tribute albums to Frank by fine musicians all over the world in rock, jazz, classical, even a cappella styles. There are also numerous accomplished bands who have devoted themselves to his music. Ted Nugent? virtually ignored in comparison..

  • @dotothenn Why are you so angry then? Seems to me if you actually believed in your empty life-hating God-hating nihilistic philosophy, you'd just shut the hell up about it. Christians don't shut up because they don't believe life is meaningless. And you're not gonna shut them up by whining like a baby.

  • Comment removed

  • @dotothenn I hadn't noticed the earlier nasty comments. It's just that your comment seemed particularly harsh to me. But I guess I overreacted too. I certainly don't approve of idiots saying bad things about people who have died! I think we should all heed the advice to keep our mouths shut because we seem to be losing all civility on the internet. The horrible exchanges are especially annoying when the fighting has nothing even to do with the subject of the video. It's just mutant anger.

  • Comment removed

  • @dotothenn shouting in capital letters is so ridiculous ...but your full of conviction . People that sure of their opinion worry me ...unless you have proof yourself ...maybe you cannot enter into the debate .I am a zappa fan - and i also believe in a higher power ..theres actually plenty of supported evidence of life after death -you have to look into it though .

  • After you watch this, I think Frank would recommend watching something really fucking beautiful and just absolutely fantastic. I suggest you head to " Frank Zappa - Montana - 1973 Stockholm". Frank's solo in this song is just so far beyond .....

  • Frank was one of the most inspirational writers, performers and Top 3 guitarists of all time. I saw Dweezil last month, and he IS becoming FRANK>

  • yeah LIFE DID GIVE FZ WHAT HE DESERVED ... a name and reputation in music that will live on for ever, a spark that he set alight only to be kindled in the minds of his listeners, a fanbase that to this day is strong and a list of albums that would imply that he did indeed live to 100 ...................whilst you sir will be best remembered for your nauseatingly smug comments ....you mammy nun you

  • he looks like a cross between charles manson and richard stallman

  • YouTube: A generally great resource, increasingly overrun by moronic beings.

  • @DangerRifai Oh, jeez, u got that right! Ignorance and stupidity seem to be the common denominator here.

  • RIP .. what a prodige :S !!!

  • Choirboyspanker ,jesus was a wanker ,and very possibly homosexual ,running around with 12 gays oops guys, never had sex with a woman .You decide, but you must use logic

  • 123 /watch?v=kQFKtI6gn9Y

  • Ich würde ihn gern noch mal wieder sehen , für mich einer der grössten Musiker.

    R. I. P.

  • At least he knows there's a God now.

  • @AtheistSpanker There's only one thing you're spanking, and it's not atheists. No points for your team, schmucko.

  • @AtheistSpanker

    Jesus Thinks You're A Jerk

  • @sheltech12 Matthew 10:33 But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.

  • @AtheistSpanker I love the name. :) It fully represents the repressed homosexual desires that are slowly festering into a false "Holier than thou" complex which will eventually result in a stress induced disease.... Penis.

  • @TKDWPman Proverbs 14:7 Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.

    bye :)

  • @AtheistSpanker Proverbs 14:7.5 Taketh thou no advice from a man quoting a book written by other men: a book so easily misinterpreted, so easily misunderstood, a book of fiction. A book that enableth fools to judge others based off of, not knowledge, but uneducated theories of hate and discrimination.

  • Thanks for the Varese (The present day the composer refuses to die")

  • I'm sure he's up there with Jesus in a big purple chair;

  • @joevyse

I'm sure Frank Zappa existed, jesus never did.

  • @aegisgfx It's a joke; it's off the end of 'Elvis has just left the building' if you missed the reference :)

  • @joevyse

    yup missed it, thanks

  • @aegisgfx this.

  • i agree....many ppl dont realize that christianity was started in europe....2000 years ago, there are about 40 different religions all with the same damn story as jesus but were out before his.....buddha has that original story.

  • I do not get it all of the "great men" who walk this earth, i.e. Steve Jobs, Carl Sagan, Christopher Hitckens, etc die young, while most of you scum of the earth get to live out you life being complete sicko's.

  • @Atheist18505 You best be trollin'

  • @Atheist18505...Answer,this world is not for good hearted people,THIS IS SATAN'S DOMAIN and the sooner we realize this then we too may get to go join that heavenly flock.

  • @prints76 Or the bible could be 2000 year old fiction, along with Zeus and Wotan. :)

  • ...wow. That was tough to watch. I didn't know this existed until now.

...just like "ZOLDRIN": Watching this makes me cry.

  • @mattnashty remember "broken hearts are for assholes"

  • like watching a dying da vinci

  • If I was God I would set Zappa up with whatever he would need to make some of his most fantastic music ever. Like big swifty or jesus thinks your a jerk and say"Mr Zappa go to town buddy, dont worry about money we got it all here, just write and perform." If I was God. Look I know talent when I see it. You got it. Oh yeah you can have Hendrix, Coltrane? Sure Whatever you need. I need some heavenly noise.

  • thanks megajosh another great artist who died way ro early. He embraced every form ad file of lofw and rejoiced in the smile and complexity of a man who is his own god. Thoigh he was pissed to be dying, he cut through the crap and had no patience for the willfully smug.

  • he wishes he was as good as beefheart

  • @jangohump idiot

  • I can't imagine how he's feeling right there.. he's about to die.

  • Comment removed

  • Well here is something interesting about souls, I have always wished that if there is a heaven, that my dogs that have died would be there too. I mean they gave me more respect and love than most of the HUMANS I know. I said most, not all. But most believe animals do not have souls. I would rather spend eternity with an animal than most HUMANS that I know or have known. Oh most religous people I know(not all) want a WHITE HEAVEN. No jews no blacks, just them. Thats not the heaven Jesus wanted.

  • I wonder where his soul is now? in a happy place?

  • All the best . . .

  • If you think Frank Zappa sucks, then you must be some crazy christian. If not then you must be someone who has never listened to his music. If you have never listened to his music and you still thinks he sucks, well, understand this, you are misinformed about the man. You will probely say"he smoked, he made fun of religion", really?? I am just curious how someone could think that a man who has made such awesome music suck. Especially at his last interview??

  • @dotothenn I wonder where franks after life is?

  • @sidebarr7 Why wonder about anyone but yourself? Do you really know anyone that close? How long has the earth existed? Depending on what an individual believes decides their fate after they die? In the late 80s and early 90s do you remember how many televangelists got popped for indecient behavavior? Was Jesus considerd a mystic 2000 year ago? Yes he was. There are books left out of the cannon because of that. I am not 20, 30 or 40. I do not care about Franks after life. I cared for his life.

  • @sidebarr7 he's swirling a really weird galaxy together, using resonant frequencies on a thousand-stringed Gibson SG to organize loose patches of matter floating through the cosmos.

    or something like that.

  • Frank, I miss you.

  • @jangohump <---- Just Another Justin Beaver cleaver fan

  • @jangohump you must feel so great posting stupid ass comments like this on any zappa video you can find. why dont you shut the fuck up and get a goddamn life rather than wasting your life writing sad little comments on youtube?

  • Frank was the personification of what is best in music. He set the bar and is an ideal to be reached for. I just feel sorry for the idiots who don't get it. 1000 years from now people will still be talking, with great respect and admiration, about every aspect of his genius. I miss you Frank...thanks for the mameries.

  • @livemusichere

    I agree with you.

It's so sad that Frank is no longer with us.

It would have been great to see him with Bush....
