Very surprised I liked the movie, it takes a bit of adjustment to get used to the surrealistic style, and the oddity of the story - but the concept underneath whats on the surface of the story is actually really, really good.

Can someone please tell me what the meaning behind this song is and what the people mean? I don't really understand it but at the same, time I feel I can relate to it in someway...somehow; with the dullness, the dark, and the despair it portrays. I feel sad, down , and cold for some reason every time I listen to this song, but it is a beautiful song so it must be a good thing...right?
