Very recently received this and must report that i can confirm the report from alrich68. Within 3 days the case clip has rotated into the unlock position whilst worn on my belt and fallen off and also on another occasion the rotation allowed the 'new' phone to fall out of the case onto to the ground causing a scratch on the phone!!
Need to respond to this. I recently bought and used one of these clips on an iPhone 3GS Noreve case. The clip works well with one major caveat; the phone WILL rotate on your belt into the unlock position regardless of the orientation you install the clip. After it fell out of the holder unassisted twice, I switched back to the plastic clip that comes with the case. Please, save your money and don't buy this clip. It's a disaster waiting to happen.
i lost this little iron stuff that looks like a little star, will buy again, so this system sometimes not work enough good. i have stuff like this, not like in video
Personally i can do without the unnecessary swivel. It'd be much more secure without it. Also a swivel clip attached to a case by a screw seems dumb. Of course the clip won't swivel unless you unlock it from its position, but that just adds more weight on the screw to loosen. Screw doesn't need to turn to get loose. With the clip & screw securely attached to your hip...a simple nudge on the case should do it. Noreve standard plastic clips feel even worse. I don't want fancy, I want solid secure.
Didn't test one of the most important things about a clip ... does it stay firmly on the belt when it's under pressure? I have a noeve case (samsung omnia II) which comes with a plastic clip, but with a slightly different system of locking into the case. The belt clip itself has a double hook to stop it coming off the belt and needs you to press a release to take the case off it..It would be great if the clip was stainless steel instead of plastic.
Replying to myself, now that i have got this clip. It is a 100% metal clip. Very solid. This clip is very unlikely to unhook itself from your belt, or from your trouser waistband if you clip it on there. However, after some use, I'm still a little worried about the device working its way around to the unlocked position (180 degree rotation) and working out of the clip from there. The issue is that the case rotates far too freely on the clip. You could probably fix this by welding a shim on it.
