stop commenting on the clothes and comment on the dance!it was a good job most of it.obviously the dancers were not professionals but i'm sure that they did their best.
I have to agree with you... this was probably filmed in the 80's BUT dance teachers and pseudo choreographers from all the Dolly DInkle Schools of dance out there take note: The dances are actually appropriate for the age group, they show creativity and actually have an aesthetic all of which has been lost in the quest for the meaningless trophy.
Not only their dance garb make it so 80's (e.g, the leotards, tights, and the legwarmers in which the lass wore when she dances to "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" lol), but notice their dance routines - they're FLASHY!
These dancers may have some ability, but boy do they ever need some good choreography and technique classes. I am hoping this was filmed sometime in the 80's!Keep it up girls, please consider finding a better studio where your talent can be discovered! :)
This was the mid 80's,Yuma was a pretty small town. Several of those dancers are now professional ballerinas, teachers, choreographers and directors of their own companies. Hamman did a fine job with the dancers. I remember him fondly. I am grateful to you Hammam for posting this fun venture down memory lane.
My thanks, Linda Cannon Farrar, The owner of Dancer's Workshop 1976-2000 and founder of Yuma Ballet Theatre, Ms. Linda to the dancers

I'll refrain from commenting on the outfits.
;o)
Pretty good, though some of the dancers didn't have any enthusiasm, which made it kind of boring to watch at times.
