Hi I have a very similar machine but manual. I can't get it work though: there is a tube of black ink in it and the ink is still in good shape. What I do not get is 1) what is the matrice, 2) if I need to change to tube that convey the ink along the page.
I have a lot of valuable documents that were printed using a Gestetner and black ink. These are now all rather badly faded to grey. I had assumed that the pigment was carbon black which should be very stable. Does anyone know what is going on?
I've got a Gestetner Cyclostyle No 6 Duplicator. Has anyone got any idea as to how I could get it back up working (in fact it might work but i don't quite know how?) and where I could get stencils and/or ink?

I used to be a Gestetner engineer back in the 1970s. Great to see your machine running. Thanks.

@Calamus11 Not sure what pigment was actually used. I do know that with time and light the image will fade.

A wonderful machine! Are the tubes of ink still available in the UK or Europe for the later Gestetners? I have a 360.
