I don't know if the feedback was meant to be part of the song or not, but I can say this, it seems to go very well with the music and Syd's mental status prior to his departure from Pink Floyd. I have favorited the vid and given it 5 stars based on understanding certain aspects, even if they are unintended.
Apparently Syd walked into the studio with this song, but kept changing the arrangement so that no one knew what was going on. He kept coming up with crazy ideas for how they were to perform it, he suggested they use a couple of female saxaphone players among other things. He then left and everyone was at a loss as to what to do. Some who knew him claimed that he turned the madness off and on, others who knew better saw that it was sadly all too real. The end was nigh.
isnt it a joke? the point of his song...that they were never going to get it, so they stop recording it? all we have of it is a hum by rogert waters...
