@lelboy Are you also talking about "The VIPs"? If you like that, I guess it's an opinion as valid as the next one. I'm not sure who "the rest of us" is though, plenty of people think it stinks, most certainly agree that the only good thing about it was M.Rutherford. One reviewer on IMDB calls it "Star-studded junk", I agree.
What a wonderful charactor actress Margaret was. Today everyone wants to be the star. Maybe if we had more great charactor actors we'd have better movies. I went to blockbuster today to rent a movie. Half the new releases are slasher-torture flicks and many of the comedies and dramas are pretty weak. Hollywood is putting out movies left and right but unfortunatly most are forgettable.
@myboylollipop09 Hello! You shouldn't waste your money on new movies. I just sit and watch my golden oldies and always feel better afterwards and they are more watchable as family pics too.
I have just bought Margaret Rutherford's Miss Marple series, and haven't laughed so much in ages! Although I prefer Joan Hickson as a more 'realisitic' Miss Marple, these are absolute classics and are wonderful in their own right. Thanks for the great tribute - what a character she was!
my grandma loves her shes seen the 4 movies a million times!! she wants to be her!!!! she is her idol

@Kyrol57 She won an Oscar for that part, not an easy feat, when you consider how terrible that movie really is.

@00cm Terrible - how so?
It was a particularly GOOD film of that type. Not too sure what you actually watched - certainly not what the rest of us did........

@myboylollipop09 I agree I don't watch new movies anymore. Just watch my old movies with decent actors who had class like Margaret.

I loved her as the shoplifter in Trouble in Store-pinching everything in sight! One of the best actresses EVER!

@vbeboy Me and my 5yr old watch that movie over and over just to see her in that role! That is decent entertainment.

@ashbyjay I think you've summed it up perfectly. Both were superb actresses, and both made great films and tv programmes. Both sadly missed.
