You need to give Da Vinci far more credit than you are. He was a smart man, and his intellect went beyond hiding every symbol in his art that could be mirrored to be found. Sure, there are a few symbols that are legitimate and have been mirrored, but it's getting to the stage where it's the only way to find things... and it's ridiculous.
Besides, the holy grail is a reference to Mary Magdalene, Jesus' wife. Implying that there was a hidden grail in the painting is ludicrous.

The three people in the middle are John the Apostle, Jesus Christ, and Thomas.
John is drawn either young or with feminine features & this resmbles classical depictions of Bacchus/Dionysus (god of wine) as well as depictions of John the Baptist. Thomas means "twin."
Now if you read these 3, you see John & Jesus are "twins" in a metaphorical Gnostic context.

Leonardo DaVinci was European, he new nothing of the last supper. If he did, he would have not painted them sitting at a table. They would have been lounging around low platforms used for eating.
Jewish culture 2000 years ago did not sit around tables as europeans would have.
