Praise God! Girl you and your hubbie are AMAZING! To see the father assist with the delivery of his seed and see you there delivering the child...was just beautiful. We researched. You can search and find several sites with instructions on how to cut the cord (if you decide to do so at all), and how to handle various emergencies.

I'm not even particularly religious, but still think EVERY birth is a little miracle.

Had the proud-daddy privilege of delivering second daughter at home. Even though the cord was around her neck, there were no problems. She is now happy and very smart 5yo.

The medical profession has tried to mystify a process that is the most natural in the world. In South Africa, the rates for caesarian delivery amongst the affluent are some of the highest in the world.

More people should try homebirth.

That was beautiful! I give you credit for wearing your older child til the end, I had an umbilical hernia and couldn't have done that! My first homebirth (of my second child) was just a few months ago and it was amazing. Congratulations on baby Mikah!

No, both he and my 2 year old are rear-facing. If you have an older toddler under 35lbs, s/he would be safest rear-facing. Thank you for your concern :)
