Dogs. We know artificial selection happens (when humans purposefully control breeding in order to make a favourable new breed/species, best example of this is dogs, a new species that are the descendants of domesticated wolves), so why is it a massive leap to assume that natural selection takes place, simply on a slower time-scale. Just as man weeds out qualities in a species we dislike, nature (or competition) weeds out qualities that make species unable to compete and survive.

Well acctually if you look at all the characteristics of monkies you will find we share all of them, so in classification we are still monkies we just belong to a subset know as apes which divides down to great apes and lesser ape. The great apes including chimps, gorrilla, and humans (excluding creationsts.) Aronra has a good video on this.

Neither churches, nor synagogues nor mosques are holy. They are buildings, designed to hold holy people. One can be a good, G-d-fearing person, without revering religious doctrine. After all, The Almighty did not invent religion, people invented religion as a way to get close to The Almighty! Once religion becomes a barrier to enjoying life, laughing at a joke, or worship, then it becomes something which needs to be examined critically, and possible adjusted.
