Don't get me wrong I'm a proud Aussie and i really love the new years fireworks but i find it disgraceful that our government spends millions of our tax money on this display while there are many people living on the street in Sydney, I would much rather my tax dollars be spent on addressing that

I don't agree. But maybe it's because I saw 2009 from the harbour and watched 2010 on TV.... Nine's coverage was crap. They kept chopping and changing their shots and would do these close ups of the bridge when they should have been doing wideshots.... plus it was so much more smokey this year!

yea no music? have u been to sydney on nye? its during summer, its midnight, we are wearing shorts and singlets, wif beer in our hands, we have pool n beach party's! the music and "party" theme goes well wif sydney, let london do it the cold way, and let sydney do it the party way! off coure london won't put music, yous are all freezing, the fireworks sound adds to the feeling of making u's warm and cheery! we don't need warm! hence block it wif loud music and tones of coldd beer! lolz!
