@G4merGuy $25 is the price at a local comic store I frequent. This toolkit has been updated since I shot this and I did a video for the 2011 kit showing the cards. They are readily available online, and I have seen them for less that $25 but that's before shipping costs.
I saw a great comment on The Gatherer for this card:
"The textbook definition of the perfect Mythic Rare. A crazy ability that makes Timmy wet himself and Johnny brainstorm with infinite glee, but isn't broken, with a power/toughness ratio that is acceptable to its cost. The kind of card everyone loves, but nobody reviles. I feel like this new Mirrodin block has been doing Mythics really well; much better than Zendikar has been, anyway"
@Bibbly53 Yes, not good to be on the receiving end of that. You know when you've been pack'd. As I found when I played against the AI Garruk Deck in the first Duels Of The Plainswalkers.
@jawatrader123 It depends what 'format' you play in as to which cards/boosters are 'legal'. If you are playing 'casual' then anything goes. Also, if an old card has the same name as newer card that is legal in a format then that old card is also legal. Basic lands are legal regardless of format (although I think Snow-covered lands have certain exceptions). If you google, magic the gathering rules, the top result will be the best place for checing out this sort of stuff.
@animaiscool Yeah. Just to clarify. The two basic card types in Magic are "spells" and "lands". However, spells come in several varieties: "sorceries", "instants", "enchantments", "artifacts" and "creature". I suppose, in the video, I was trying to highlighht the amount of land you get vs. the amount of everything else (spells). I accept that a lot of people sometimes divide the card types into 3: "land", "creatures" and "other spells". I just didn't do that here.
@animaiscool I think the deal is, that in order to summon a creature, you would have to cast a summoning SPELL. Hence the deal with summoning sickness... (They were yanked from a distant land in the blink of an eye, to meet their doom on a battlefield they've never even heard of. They probably don't feel much like fighting, etc. etc.)
@DarkKittenGamer Like you I noticed that the same sort of cards were comming up. If we exclude the random element that is introduced by giving you 4 Boosters then the only other remaining element in the toolkit that is random is the pack of 44 cards with the 4xTerramorphic Expanse. Each of the block of 10 cards between the Terramorphic Expanse is an architype based selection from a sub-set of cards, and the leaflet sort of indicates what the total number of architypes in the sub-set might be.
Um are u giving away or selling some vampire stuf u got in there? Because im a noob and i just want some stuff tonstart off with -_-

How many rares and Mythics did you get? ( Not in the booster packs )
ooitastic 1 year ago
@ooitastic None. The main part of the toolkit is made up of commons and uncommons. Rares and Mythics only come from the bosters.

are there any creatures? since all of the notations say that they are land and spells. so i was wondering if there are creatures

Is it just me or does the deckbuilder's toolkit not seem as "random" as they try to market it off as?
I'm seeing pretty much all the same cards as I saw in other videos.
