Check out Andrae Crouch's version from 1975 at a Billy Graham crusade. he's the writer of the song and back then his voice was outstanding. He's still lovely but his voice doesn't have the power it once had as of course he was much younger then. Hope you enjoy it.

This version of the song kept me sane on my last Iraqi tour. I got to see them perform just after I had gotten and got to tell Ronnie what that song did for me. They dedicated that song to me that night. Alot of people sing about Jesus but these boys live it. I will never be able to repay them for what the Lord has allowed them to do and what a blessing it has been to my life. If you get a chance to see them go.

Yes I have to say it would be one of the best versions. I love the song! one of my favourite songs. Though I am still young, I can look back from when I was saved, and look at my troubles and trials that I have gone through, though my trust in Him isn't where it should be now, I can say I have learned to trust in my Lord Jesus Christ more than what I did. He never left me nor forsook me, He stayed with me everystep of the way. And He always will. Lord Jesus, my Saviour and Friend. Praise God!

The Gaither Vocal Band are unbelievable singers, Phelps and Penrod are absolutley word class, but the one thing they lack is harmony, they cant touch the booth brothers when it comes to harmony
