I beat this game a couple of times back in the day. I was so mad they never ported this to a console.

To date, this was the only Superman game released that I actually liked.

You can charge punches anytime (except while crouching). The yellow crystals give you an instant blast punch too. And you can crouch to pickup objects to throw.

I love your videos, but I'm such an arcade freak that there are little mistakes I can find in each one. Entertaining though... these games are great

I usually do not spend a huge amount of time with the games I review. I play for a couple hours tops to get a feel for the game so generally I am not making mistakes. What you may consider a mistake is most likely something I do not know about a game. Unless you are talking about release dates and console port data because if thats the case by all means correct me.

Yeah, in the video you did use a blast punch while standing on the ground. Throwing objects is just fun (and the demo even shows it) so I thought that'd be something to mention. ;)

I think what the green alien is holding is suppose to be Earth, hence meaning that the story is Superman fighting off an alien invasion.

There are good graphics in this game but as you say it would be better if it were based on some other superhero who wasn't actually supposed to be invincible! :)

I think you could have a fun game based around an invincible Superman. The challenge would be to defend the vulnerable humans.

That probably would be fun, the only thing I could see being a problem is if it had cheap ai that would hit the humans no matter what you did.

It is a red version of superman which some have thought might be from a comic book featuring both red and blue superman or knowing arcade games it could just be a coincidence.

The games music doesn't actually sound this bad when you are actually playing it.Great game,I am surprised it never landed on the psn or xbox live yet.

Other then this arcade classic, the only other decent Superman game was likely the one on the Sega Genesis. Other then that, every other Superman game was pretty crappy.
