MO Letters which are all based on sound, godly princples and foremost the Bible-the core of Christian faith. Brainwashing? Maybe you could call it that, but then everything around you is "brainwashing" including the book you suggest, anything that convinces you could be considered brainwash, but you chose to belive it or not. Yes bad things might have happened but they were not "the majority", neither were they accepted by the group, appologies were made, not justifications, and safeguards put into effect. Bad things happen everywhere, in all corners of society, we do not live in a perfect world. And yes I can say with all my heart that The Family is GREAT, not from reading books on it but experiencing it for myself and I dare to say you would think so too if you would only open your mind and try it. ;-)

if this is the family international as in the modernised cult which was once children of god!! i have nothing to say, but u dnt deserve any positive recognition for the way children were treated. Im a devout christian but to engage in anything sexual with a minor is one of the biggest sins u can make. Dont believe the false smiles these people show, this cult has a dark side which inflicted pain and suffering on so many.
