Damn it was the perfect cherry on top near the end of that mission in the underground tunnels. Then there was that mission in the tunnels under the Lab facility in the Dark Valley. Your going through the dark then you hear this low frequency noise then a random box nearby floats to the ceiling and stays there. Then suddenly the box fuking launches into you face shattering almost blowing out headset. Damn that was an eye opener O.o

I had just gone into Garbage from Agroprom, all pissed because of what the game was throwing at me [The never fucking ending war. Bandits, Bloodsucker, Military, More Military, Bandits, Controller, More FUCKING Military, Endless god damn military, Military, then Bandits AGAIN], and yet I never had more than 100 rounds for anything, and even when I FINALLY kill all the goddamn bandits, I loot some, and as I'm looting I notice it got bright. Turn around and get shot!

You really have to preserve your ammo, especially early on. Don't just spray aimlessly around the place - go for single or 3 burst shots always at the chest or head while crouched and behind cover. I never had much problems with running out of ammo but I can see why it's difficult - it's not like most games where there's basically an unlimited supply.

I still had little ammo, but seemingly endless enemies.

I got past that part [fairly easily once strategy kicked in], and I realize now that the game developers just made a poor decision, and made one of the most difficult parts the first thing you do.

They made a bad decision in putting so much at the beginning, THEN getting easier as it progresses, though.

Personally, I think Call of Pripyat was the only one that got more difficult over time, but wasn't too easy at the beginning.

Also, animal crossing is gay, and I haven't played it since I was 5 or 6, and you WANT to drink my "tears?"

@b0n3z3z I just picked up the post where you've written that you never had more than 100 rounds for a gun. Well i just want to tell you that you should focus ONLY at 3 guns but not more. I never go above the 50 weight limit with my guns and have still over 400 rounds for my favourite 2 assault rifles (5x45 / 5x56) and good 100 bullets for my pistol. The rest of my capazity goes in health kits, food and anti-radiation medicine. Staying alive isn't very hard with focusing on that type of playing..

@b0n3z3z Well that should be good enough. Just loot everyone you kill and buy ammo everywhere you can. For me, i sell all artifacts which has a bad ability even there is another good one. I only use those artifacts which have no bad ability. Selling the others will give you a huge amount of money ;)

Therefore i have no problems with health kits and ammo.

Just dont forget to save often...

Hey, it was never finished 100 percent by its release. Of course things like that are bound to happen under those terms. But that doesn't take away from how great a game it is. It's my absolute favorite post-apocalyptic RPG franchise, and I will buy any game GSC ever makes because of how memorable the countless hours playing the first STALKER and its sequels/prequels have been to me. That's just how I feel.

@Oldenheimer1913 I started with "Clear Sky" and as a "Fallout" veteran i was a little disappointed of the difficulty at first. Fallout spoilt myself with the VATS-System so i was very overwhelmed with the normal first person shooter gameplay. The atmosphere was at first also too enlivened and not so "romantically" like in Fallout. But I really enjoy the challenge now, since Fallout went too easy even on hardest difficulty. I just can recommend this game as a awesome post-apocalyptic adventure.
