people are so rude...not bad for a white boy? what do you mean? i know plenty of white boys that can sing just as well as he can! the only reason you refer to him as a white boy is because he's in the r&b scene, which believe it or not is not only a place for black artists! he's written so much music for your favorite artists. at least he writes what he sings. people like rihanna, chris brown, sometimes ne-yo get their songs written for them. idiots.
this guy is magic, he's been in the industry even before some of u guys are born. this guy wrote the HITS for UR favourite artists. he's the guy behind all the great music that U listen to. so stop the nonsense abt him ripping other artists who actually once depended on him to get to where they are today!
2:04 - 2:21 " I know sometimes, sometimes you feel no hope. Well i've been there, i've walked that lonely road, ohh. I took whatever DEVIL offered me, because i knew he would set me free. Subliminal, it's funny how people only listen to the melody and beat and don't realize what he's really saying. Another sell-out. " Peep the game, don't just bob your head to the beat, listen to what we're really saying and hold us accountable for it" - Tupac
Actually, it's not called a rip off, it's called a sample, and both this song and Kanye's song are sample's of Curtis Mayfield's "Move on Up", so in your words, no, Kanye ripped it off from Mayfield, and it's how things work... learn something about music pnnorton
i just saw this comment now, this isn't a sample from Move On Up, trust me, give that song a listen, theres no part that this could have been sampled from, its merely a cheap rip off
Love, love, love it! (His wife is gorgeous. That is, if they're still married to eachother. She's in the clip for Lost Without You - another great song of his!)
i love this song. he has been doing music for a while now. he used to go by the name thicke. he said he also use to work behind the scenes in the music industry as an A&R. i believe that he is very talented. he is better than justin timberlake. i put him up there with eric benet, maxwell, babyface, brian mcknight etc.
okay he definitely did not say devil, he said god will, and regardless if he said it or not why is there a problem its still a beautiful song that has great rhythm and melody and beats.
When I saw the video 'When I get you alone' on MTV Rewind, it suddenly hit me; this is the same guy as the one who sang 'Magic'. Maybe I'm a bit slow, but I didn't recognize him without his 'hair-curtain'. I can't believe how much better he looks! But more important, Magic is a great song!
Love this song, i think Robin Thicke is underrated and should stop being compared to JT, bc aside from looking similar, their music falls into two different genres.
Robin Thicke in comparison to Justin Timberlake is apparently more "soulful", while Timberlake tends to lean more towards "pop" material with a dance/club edge. Both are excellent regardless but if I were to choose any music from either of these two artists when it comes to entertaining a female guest. Robin Thicke wins hands down.
I soooooooooooooooo thought Craig David was singing this song. I was looking all over the internet for this song with his name and couldn't find anything untilI just searched for the lyrics. Surprised....
Ok Everyone who didn't know; where do you think Robin got any or all of his style from? Straight from MJ, Marvin Gaye, and all of the other greats who sang everything from soul, rnb, blues, to pop..
Actually a significant part of Robin Thick's music is produced by the Neptunes. Just how much a producer affects the music he is involved in producing is an interesting question. Too controversial to get into detail here. However it is certain that Pharell Williams (of N.E.R.D and the Neptunes) has a profound impact of Mr. Thick's music.
ummm.. NO. Micheal Jackson was, still is, and forever will be the king of pop no matter what. He has fans around the WORLD, England, China, Spain, etc. He has billions of fans, and has coutless hits. He was great starting from a kid, who can foreget ABC? Robin Thickle is good without a doubt but lightyears away from Micheal, nobody will EVER be as good or better that the King Of Pop Micheal Jackson. I`m not sure why you would think Robin Thickle could take Mj`s place but he cant, no body can...!
Not to take anything away from Robin.. But Michael will always be the King Of Pop.. There will never be another like Michael... RiP Mr. Jackson I love and pray for you daily...... If you've lost someone (ever) take a minute to remember them..
word..Michael Jackson will never ever lose his title..i dunno where people are getin Robin Thicke is the next king of pop.
He really hasnt don anything yet..the onli that should be regarded to MJ is usher, MJ student..well usher aint lik him but he better than Robin Thicke
This is relative. I LOVE Usher, great singer, AMAZING dancer, but Michael was a songwritter AND producer. In this point, Usher is pretty weak. Robin got good musial skills. He´s a good singer, but would need to work his vocals, to be pointed as new king.
While he may have been influenced by the King of Pop, he is not like the king of pop. The comment likening the two, i believe was meant as a compliment, but it is somewhat insensitive as we have just lost Michael. There is no one who can fill his shoes--Although there have been many influenced by him, There is no one like him.
im lovin this track! bt if i was the producer i would of got ghost face or maybe a kanye or lupe fiasco flow to compliment the soul of this track! but 5 stars for the singing and beat! robin hearts should of been the name for you bro haha!
