You should make a correction, you said this is the all new Evo based on the all new lancer......for this model Mitsubishi allowed its designers to start with the evo and from the evo they based the other models on it. They did it backwards from how most car companies do things...... I guess if you did some research on what you are reviewing you would know that though!

You're missing the point. How much money you make or don't make is irrelevant compared to the skill you need to drive something as advanced & rowdy as an EVO or STi. You have greater pride in your car when you start learning about it by driving & putting work/money into it. There are people who can buy a luxury car & give 2 shits about it & just drive it to drive it & nothing else. Whether you earn an EVO or it's given to you doesn't matter. You're both driving an awesome car that not many have.

1:Guess what? Both the older Galant & Legacy each used a version of the 4G & EJ (just non-turbo).

2:I haven't just 'test driven' both cars, I've ragged both of them (my friends own them & before I moved, I drove my boy's STi a LOT.)

3:I've had the pleasure of repairing EVOs & STis (I'm a mechanic :), so I know damn well what I'm talking about when I say the STi is 'better'.

4:My last comment to you was a week ago when you were bashing a kid for driving what you do. This time, YOU found ME :)

1:The new engine is not a 4G, it's a 4B :) All aluminum & much better than the 4G.
