I loved the look of all these pubs, wish I could go to all. Britain is so lucky to have so much history, even with their pubs, unlike the bogan hangouts I have to choose between where i'm from.

Er,sorry,I think you'll find women were burned at the stake as witches! We also had the ducking stool,the rack,the iron maiden & various other devices of torture.We also had the Witchfinder General,who wasn't just a character from Hammer House of Horror!

Fantastic list!

I visited the Grenadier Pub in the summer, and their food is very delicious as well. An amazing atmosphere, with bills from all over the world stuck on the back ceiling, which people placed up there in order to pay off Cedric's debt. A very cool place to visit.
