It seems like the person in the video is a metaphor for everyone who is afraid of the obstacles in life and feels like they are losing apart, or "parts" of themselves as they get older and become woven into the fabric of society. In the end, the person overcomes this anxiety and realizes that life is met to have obstacles and challenges, and that doesn't necessarily mean we lose apart of ourselves, it in fact makes us whole. The challenges in life make us who we are...
