  • we are so short to understand his path.

  • how shamefull indians killed their founder, how mean and selfish by nature :@

  • yes but the Hindu Fanatics are acting against the teachings of Gandhi.....India has turned into a Hindu Extremist State in 64 years

  • @aqeelhaider07ect17 ,

So funny Even Gandhi was called a Hindu communalist and hated by Muslim League by Iqbal & Jinnah......India is a secular state .....with the state treating all religions equally.......the underlying current which maintains the unity and peace in India is the non-violent spiritual culture of thousands of years........

You can say whatever you want but its not true.....

  • Gandhiji was a great person wid great ideals ....i dont really believe people who wrote d so called truths abt him ...hypothetically even if v believe doz things den also he was a way more great person dan us...secondly he was a great leader who fought for d disadvantaged ...be4 sayin nythin -ve abt him look where u stand ....i dont care abt his personal life but we r foreva indebted to him ...he is renowned worldwide nd sum ppl r writing crap jus 2 get attention so dat dey cud sell der book

  • 16 people in this world think that they know it, but they dont..loosers

  • A man who made humility and simple truth more powerful than empires . A great man, an example for all of us .

  • After the last time I watched Gandhi (with Ben Kingsley), I wondered how Gandhi felt when he realised that what he had been going after for so long (home-rule) had resulted in so much violence and death after all.

It is like that when you pursue a major goal, no matter how noble it is.

Sometimes the price is (or seems to be) higher than the prize.

  • You burn such a great man? Shame on you.

  • I believe that Gandhi overcame the sectarianism that divide religions. For him, the truth of the Gita and the Christian Gospel is in humans, when it negates the ego and eliminates their vices and bad habits that internal struggle of every human being, as described in the Mahabharata. As a Christian, I revere Gandhi as love and compassion of Christ to give the face of kindness to him who does evil.

  • @dramatish you ass hole u r fucking shit

  • To my mind as well the Absolute Truth -unmitigated and supreme, the deepest and the tallest - that is God. A veritable scientist spending wee hours in his lab distilling unreason away from pure reason and reaching the underlying axioms , unravelling the truths of the mysteries behind the distant stars & black-holes and the megallanic clouds as well as of the neutrino , the meson and the photon is that way silently close to God ..like Albert Einstein.

  • I meant a very deep humility, pardon me. I am just a chronicler like the character Sanjaya in the Mahabharat or Bhagavad Geetha for the world.

  • Gandhi's true greatness is that he was right in the midst of humanity - in the turmoil, the suffering, in the misery, in the trials and yet stayed within his ideals of truth and non-violence in thought , deed or action. A very humility ,simplicity and humanity brimmed and spilled over from his massive soul. Such a soul indeed has to be a Mahatma in terms of sheer volume.

  • A man who brought the Filthy British baboons to their Knees!!!!! one of the greatest to ever walk the earth!!

  • ur r nt sikh ur guys sick

  • Dalit are the original inhabitants of India. These communities were categorized as ‘outcastes’ or ‘untouchables’ by Hindu hierarchy. Hindu society had also called them ‘avarnas’ (ones without color, category or class), ‘chandalas’ (filthy ones) and ‘low-castes.They were also identified as ‘panchamas’ (fifth ones) or ‘outcasts.’ Mohandas Gandhi referred to them as ‘Harijans,’ a title used for the children of temple prostitutes who could only be identified as children of God

  • As Indian ,I know what Gandhi and their Congress had done agaist Dalit.

Gandhi did fasting for not to get Dalit "Double Power of voting".

While he was on fasting ,Gandhi had order the Hindu to kill the Dalit to compell Babasaheb to change his decision

Gandhi always work against Dr.B.R Ambedkar and Dalit.

Entire Dalit hate this disgusting Gandhi

  • everyones knows the british left because of WW2 and fear of bhagat singh other wise who the fuk was a skinny lil hindu naked man who had a nation behind him...but that nation was all weak and pussyed out just like gandhi the stronger part of the nation were bhagat singh and utham singh who got revenge and fought back like men....

gandhi had no respect he was treated like a bitch and the sad part was he liked to be treated like a bitch...

  • @fktheworld1 Not Because Of Anything But Tre Real Reason Was Second World War UK's Youth Population was Cut in Half Due to war and They were left with no choice but to give up their colonial possessions

  • i respact bhagat singh and all other freedom fighter ......bt gandhi ji was nt a bad person whole world kws dat ....u dont like him because he wasnt a sikh ......

  • @IamGodnLord He Is The Front Runner In Upliftment of Daliths But The Whole Of Congress is A Different story he oppesed partition because he knew people's mentality and Every one blamed him for the partition and please stop using gandhi's name for all congress party's action

  • ghandhi was good but yoda was great

  • Gandhi called Saraladevi his “spiritual wife” after “an intellectual wedding,” and he reported that he bathed “in her deep affection” as she showered “her love on [him] in every possible way.” Kasturba Gandhi had refused to wear khadi—the homespun and hand woven garments that Gandhi made famous

  • After the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in 1919, Gandhi stayed at Saraladevi’s home in Lahore and then toured India together during 1920. Her husband, R. D. Chowdhary, was in jail for the first eight months this period, but he was content, as was Henry Polak, to share his wife with the Mahatma. Gandhi agreed with Chowdhary that Saraladevi was the “greatest shakti of India.”

  • Interesting that president Truman attended his funeral. The man who issued the command to kill hundreds of thousands with the A-bomb and then haiving the gall to say that he thanked God for giving US the bomb.

  • After going thru various +ve comments on this man, I'm happy not to live in that dark world of ignorance into believing the conspiracy that he got us the independence from the British.

Living in Conspiracy theories are meant only for Pakis. Grow up Indians.

  • @cjsingh2008

If u dnt know to respect Gandhi just piss off from India.....u r more sexually obsessed man ....am sorry u r not any creature but piece os shit.....delivered my India...

  • GUYANA!!!!! RULESS

  • Many people in the africanamerican community are unaware of the fact that ghandi was not for blacks, he live in south africa for ten years and never spoke out or protested on behalf of the blacks there who were living under aparthied. He was for india and india only to hell with ghandi!!!!!!!!!!

  • @christophe1804 ...that is incorrect...!

  • @christophe1804 so what if he didnt protest on the behalf of blacks?

India had enough problems to it self.. and I haven't heard anything about a afroamerican at that time fighting for india's rights..

He was atleast maybe a inspiration for Martin Luther.

And he was in africa working and stuff, he started protesting after coming back from africa.

Fuck you for saying to hell with india.

  • Why Godse killed person like gandhi, who was unarmed and always wanted peace. If godse really against partition then he should try same against Mr. jinnha. The partition was Mr. Jinnah idea not from gandhiji.

  • @mysaradv

i believe mountbatten confused india with the proposal of india and a separate state for muslims called pakistan. gandhi would have convinced jinnah to stay back if it were not for the whites meddling

  • proud to be an indian........ proud on the gift by god to us as an indian and as a human.

  • Feels like a BIG-ZERO contributor to mankind.

  • bias person who was always neglected poor hindu people. if he was not assassinated many pakistans would have generated. I hate him severely!

  • Sir Mahatma Gandhi was the most powerful man ever to reside on the planet. It is unbelievable that a man with no position, money, influence can achieve so much with peace as his only tool. Please watch the movie "Gandhi by richard attenborough" to get a visual insight on the legacy of the most powerful man who ever lived on earth.

  • The Un-Mahatma Gandhi - A Pedophile.

  • @TheMsUganda

I hope you get well soon, my friend.

  • @TheMsUganda lol keep hating bitch your silly channell and comments cant do nothing to this great mans legacy who is adored all over the world! in nealry every country they have a statue of him..wat did your country produce? idi amin! a war mongering cannibal who killed his own ppl! lmaooooooooooo

  • @TheMsUganda

Hey bro i don't want the reason why you said him pedophile.

but believe me once you read about him and you will have to change your line.

  • @TheMsUganda that was in his younger days. its interesting to nte what an about turn he made later in life - many things he embraced at first which ran counter to his cultural traditions he rejected so completely years later...

  • Gandhi is one of my heros. Thank you Lord for sending him to the world to help teach us. His story should be in all history books

  • Rest in peace Babuji.

  • @martiannational

You are so naive, with no knowledge of History whatsoever.

  • Rest in peace.

  • Mohandas Gandhi was a racist who was abusing Native Africans in South Africa. Later he ran to India.

  • @TheMsUganda Well he fought against British There .If you don't know history keep your mouth shut.

  • @arzgania

when the common people of both the countries unite to fight "terrorism" which exists both in pakistan and india. Indians and pakistanis dont hate each other. Politicians make that happen. Terrorists are funded, both countries have a hand with a third country involved. Us common people suffer at the hands of these scumbags. It is when the common people from both countries unite to fight this evil will we be united, & that will never happen sadly.........

  • @aks19880 I disagree. Politicians can look bad because of the things they do but they too are mere mortals, not confined to be some demon. Despite the scandals they are elected by the people, and are accountable towards them. So peace takes time, alot longer than Gandhi probably wished, but I know one day India and Pakistan will unite in some way.

  • @arzgania I am a Pakistani and believe that the two neighboring countries can solve their disputes amicably and establish a close cooperation with each other in trade, technology, tourism and many other affairs. The European countries also fought with each other for long periods of time, but then they established a common European Economy in the interests of their countries. .

  • @arzgania Brother people who divided us are sinking.....the western world ...i pray to Bhagwan and to Allah that this blood shed needs to stop as common humanity is getting crushed under the deep hatred wall. I PRAY WITH MY DEEPEST INNER SELF THAT WE UNITE FOR A BETTER TOMMOROW FOR ALL...I MEAN ALL.....

  • @arzgania It will NEVER happen.

  • @arzgania i really like what you have written, I support you

  • @arzgania We(indians) do not want his..We will die but never let this happen..If India is bad..then Pakistan is worst..India is a very difficult disease, which cannot be treated but can be controlled, but Pakistan is a cancer to whole world. And India do not want to die, so it will never merge with cancereous Pakistan

  • @arzgania How can this union ever happen buddy, when my fellow indians are killed ruthlessly by these pak terrorists. They are jealous of our growth and sho shall continue the saga for ever. But had their been no division in the first place we would have been very happy i guess, union is a very distant dream now.....

  • He used to treat Africans as Animals and went to India to Fool People of India as MAHATMA

  • @TheMsUganda ,

He had correspondence with George Carver ( an African American scientist )....the entire diet of Gandhi was based on his suggestion......Carver was one of his closest friends.........

You see extremist Hindus, Muslims, Dalits, Dravidians, N. Indians, Communists, Naxalites all HATE Gandhi......I think if a person is hated by all exremists...then there is surely some good in him.....peace!

  • Basically, No one is greater than his motherland and still gandhi used to call himself father of nation, how can someone be more important than its motherland???and we got freedom not due to gandhiji!!!!!!! After 2 world war, Germany almost destroyed england so britishers had no money to rule India and to give wages to indian people working under their military. We fool Indians when we realize that we got freedom not because of gandhiji. Gandhiji led our country badly.

  • @aaizavada ,

You see.....Gandhi's contribution was to organize a political party which was capable of uniting and ruling the diverse India.....whatever you might say......the first Indian cabinet was great......Independence is no big deal really.......

Every African nation got freedom without sufficient preparation and many got with violence .......Gandhi & Congress are not perfect I agree....

How many present day leaders have the moral courage to hand over the whole nation to that ?

  • @aaizavada ,

People used to call him "Bapu".....a standard Gujrati practice for great/old men.....it still is there......

Nehru called him the Father of the Nation......this is a western concept.......it is not wrong though.....A "Nation" does not strctly mean a "Motherland".......

You can call Gandhi a "Ideal Son" of "Bharatmata" & Father of the Nation for "Republic of India" at the same time.....

  • @aaizavada ,

btw do you think Pratibha Patil is the "husband" of "Mother India"......lolz!......."Father of the Nation" is just an expression like "Rashtrapati"......lolz!

  • my grandfather was a close friend of Bapu and an orphan, he said he could not eat for 3 days when Bapu was shot. He said as if someone had killed him

  • "Bapu" tuse great ho, please 1947 ke baad pehli baar Pakistan se Tuh foo kabool karo........... And the gift is " Pakistani Leaders" hahaaha....... we need you to train them with your no doubt amazing sense of politics... cheers bapu, apun munna bhai from Pakistan and u look cool with your six packs stick, namaste... Ahinsa not allowed

  • @obaidmuzammil hey munna ye le dost jhappy meri taraf se india se khaas tere liye!!!!!!!!!!

  • melvincbenson.(com)

  • Gandhi was an inspiration to us all, eve today his teachings go on and he will never die. i may only be 15 but i am devoted to loving all and loving him

  • ratnesh

Mahatma Gandhi was a truth which no one can deny. His spiritual power was great thats why he won the fight without fighting it as a non violent. Its takes 100 years when we get one personality to be born like him -the great mahatma gandhi

  • Comment removed

  • 125,300 jph

  • honored to be born on the soil he once walked upon!!!

  • Mahatma gandhi was the greatest human of the century. his autobiography reflects his greatness and simplicity.

  • he was a great person

  • After he died they took a photograph of his worldly possessions. one white cotton robe, one pair of spectacles, one pair of sandals and the most important thing of all - His precious copy of The Bhagavad Gita. Some would think not much to account for a lifetime - How wrong they would be.

  • @rockchick80s

did not think rockchicks would be interested in Gandhi... maybe yu proved me wrong

  • generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as this ever "lived" in flesh and blood walked upon this earth.

"lived" was not in Einstein's quote. You have to be extremely careful when quoting someone's line for that one word possibly has the potential to alter the whole character of the sentence.

  • whats that song called thats played on this clip

  • @MRFuzz07 It is called Vaishnava Janato

  • One should first be an enlightened soul to realise the greatness of Gandhi. The opinion of the ignorant doesn't matter. May God give them true reasoning power.

  • Hate the sin and love the sinner - Mahatma.

  • In these times it is hard to have faith in humanity. Gandhi showed me that humanity is and always shall be a wonderful thing. Despite our differences we can overcome our faults. This man didn't deserve to die the way he did. A man of no wealth yet given a funeral fit for an emperor. ترقد في سلام.

  • never say him a coward today v r living freely and it is all bcoz of him

  • bastard dare u say it i am a muslim

  • if gandhi ji was an assole then ur a motherfucker living independent in this world, especially India..

    bloddy deshdrohi

  • To Me I Think That Mahatma Gandhi Was A Powerfull Man & A True Inspiration.

    R.I.P Mahatma Gandhi. :)

  • I don't think he would have wanted us to become angry for his death, he knew the obstacles and said I am prepared to die, but there is no cause for which I am prepared to kill. We should honor him for his bravery and peace he gave to India and the world.

  • Whosoever calls Gandhi bad is an assole, he was the prime reason for our independence, behenchod who can do as he did? Kisi ki gaand me itna dum nahi hai jo behenchod Gandhi ji jaisa kar paaye, aur vo b pure desh k liye.. Jo bole Gandhi ji kharab the he is a motherfucker... a pure assole.. Huh!!!

  • I agree with you for the most part. You'd be surprised how many Godse supporters are on YouTube though. Shameful.

  • well said.Hitanshu..Every assholes who belive if gandhi was bad guy then they need to get a new life.koi ni gand ma dum nathi bechod atyare, gandhi e je kari batavelu te.

  • Who killed him? The Devil?

  • Nathuram Godse

  • Nathuram Godse was a miserable, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar wsa the actual evil, in my opinion.

  • Naah he was a human. To err is human isn't it?

  • I wouldn't like someone err with me, maybe you would like it?

  • Jesus forgave people who crucified him, thats why he is called Great and we are not.

  • no matter what anyone says....mahatma was one of the greatest persons to walk this earth...its a lot easy to fight , but takes a lot of courage to be as non violent as him...

  • @tnas51

a short, frail bespectacled man Gandhi stood up against the most powerful empire on earth at that time, and he used non violence as his sword and peace as his shield.

  • @candydude235 gandhi didnt stood up for india....it was bhagat singh who stood up like a man against the most powerful empire of that time and defeated it and then instead of getting killed by his eniemes he was killed by his own country men mother fukin gandhi....

gandhi was an asshole who got bhagat singh and many other killed....this was nothing more than a racist jelous asshole....

for all u ppl who believe in gandhi r either hindus or just brain dead go look more into history

  • @fktheworld1 please make a movement and you be leader in this course and rewrite all the history books, and you become the real hero.

  • @fktheworld1 i can understand where u coming frm thats wat u have beeb taught by ur ancestors ...thats why u hate gandhi...? hw do kw that who was rigtht and who was wrong ....if we belive on history thn u absolutely wrng...whole world kws gandhi wasnt a wrong person ......bt u cunts thing whoevr is a sikh a right person....next time whn try to find somthing gd in somone dont consider....religion.....try u find the truth nt wat just people around says ....cheers...

Thank you very much for this video.

Mahatma Gandhi is truly called 'Father of the Nation'.

I like this video very much.

    :)

    Happy Festive Season 2009.

    Regards.

    trulytito

    (Tito Dutta)

  • With his death he set a sign what we can loose if we dont stay together, truth, respect, harmony, free mind, ..what is more worth the life like a roboter or to be free of those who are responsible for that..

  • Gandhiji was great human being. But he was not the suitable person to lead a nascent nation after the independence. If something did not agree with him, his favorite way to protest, was to start fasting till death to pressure politicians. It forced leaders like Nehru to act against the best interest of the nation. What a horrible way to format national policy! If Gandhiji had his way, the nation would have been destroyed with his foolish policies of nonviolence against Pakistani aggressors.

  • @yubacitydude,

I'm not here to defend Gandhi as an Indian leader. You are right, he wasn't the stuff national leaders are made of.

Consider this though: what disagreed with him was violence. The British used violence, he used his imagination and action to counter it. Not just fasts. Pakistani violence? With time, it too, can be countered. He made mistakes, yes. Why is his whole philosophy foolish though? What is the fight for? A line on a map? Air, water, insects, the sun don't see those lines.

  • @LoveHeartLogicHead

Hey!! I agree to ur thgts abt his disagreement with non-violence, but that is what made him an inspiration to the whole nation. I am sure he was much more than what national leaders are made up of.

  • snisargs,

On a personal level, I find a significant amount of inspiration from Gandhi's life. Whether a person happens to live within India or not is a separate matter. If you are (or, when he was alive, people were) inspired by him, *that* is the important thing. Where you live comes after that.

Thinking, using your imagination and then doing things are, I think, good behaviour traits.

It is now more than 140 years since Gandhi was born. I know I have to live now.

    My regards to you/all.

  • Beautiful speech.

  • he worked so hard for our nation .and what does he get.bullets from a gun

  • Comment removed

  • I respect my mother so I know how to respect even your mother. So dont conclude fast. I also commented like you when I had no idea about his life, his reasons, and thoughts for his actions. The thing that we must see is the thought behind actions, not just mere actions Dr. Kumar K.V.S Master Visions Hyd

  • Dude... seriously... It's Gandhi... not Ghandi.. Get it right..

  • mrafghanwarrior1 - any more comments or have you finally learnt your lesson, from all the people you've upset.

  • mrafghanwarrior1 who do you think you are. Are you a christian? Imagine someone insulting Jesus or MOses you would get pissed. So Stop It

  • Hey who are you calling a pussy man. Watch the movie Gandhi it will leave your eyes open

  • mrafghanwarrior1 a true dumb ass

  • Comment removed

  • You shoud be ashamed of your self with this kind of comment about a great man who led his country to independence, from the British Empire

This leds me to beleveive that you are not a Hindu. And I really do fell soory for you Regardless if you are a Indian or not. How do you think your parents would feel if they found out that their child was putting these kind of comments on Ytub

Do'nt you have any moral standards. Were you educated. Did it go into one ear and out the other.

  • A truly great man!!!! I am reading his autobiography and it is brilliant i really recommend it to anyone who is interested in the life of Gandhi.

  • Well, I am sure some one will come up with some "proof". I really do not know it for sure but he did write some thing about such experiments. I do not believe that he was without flaws or so called flaws. But if he was candid enough to write about it , I am sure there was some integrity in those so called "experiments". What I do think is that he did something which very few could. ie Unite a revolution based on stupid words like Turth, honesty and non violence..And I salute that .

  • hi friends hrer some body asking stupide qustion about gandhi.... why should we are all from mum why cant from dad?? do you know according to the indian mythology women is the first source of power..... women is only the meaning of patence, caring and love .... still in this rat race life also most hospitality industries intrested in women staff...... and gandhi is father of my nation not only for nation even our hearts..... please dont comment any thing about him unmetuerly.....

  • Namo Gandhiya Muni Muni Maha Miniaya Swaha

  • Guys,Gandhi did all that probably all of us cant do in 100 life times. Its easy to judge others ..try doing a miniscule percentage of wat he did and then maybe you have the right to judge this man. Why did he use girls? well i am sure if he had used boys u wud have said that he was a gay! So appreciate something that u will never ever reach up to be. He faught selflessly and united men . Try doin it and then judge him

  • how does it matter? he worked for millions with nothing in return. We should not even talk something low life thought that you have. The ladies worked for him and thats it. The fact of the matter is he worked for freedom and peace. Thats only important thing to remember.

  • it seems few individuals at independence exploited illiterate poor indians.
