I agree it would look smoother, though I like the roughness of this effect. I don't think interpolation would be nessecary if you'd write your own script, which splits the frame in single pixel-lines instead of 10/20pixel strokes. (but that would of course make the shapes more horizontally orientated) ciaoo

It would look much better, if that plugin would interpolate between the frames.

actually it's a very simple after effects filter called 'time displacement'
It 'cuts' holes through the different frames of the video, based on a 'displacement map' > a gradient from black to white in this case.
So: the top bar of the video shows the first frame, and every bar is one frame ahead of the one above.
does this make sens for you.. ?
