  • i love that sound :P

  • you can say whatever you want... the car is beautiful, but this noise looks like a piece of crap that's going to brake down

  • @robociock ...its a fucking anti lag system, its supposed to get rid of turbo lag not make the car sound like a fucking lambo

  • pop corn?

  • It sounds like a fucken weed waker...

  • I know its good in all.. but my good it sounds so fucking shitty

  • now thats a real anti lag

  • BRR 4 ever :DD

  • so hes not stepping on the peddle at all?

  • Where'd you get that Red Bull paint job?

  • @Trondheim18 it's a wrap not paint, and his sponsor.

  • Lmfao at all the dumb arses thinking they know it all about anti lag!

    Get a clue or stfu!

Als is done via engine managment and to run safely you need a maram shafted turbo to take the heat, sodium filled valves are also a benefit,

A mild als is fine to use on a road car with a time out, as long as you have a electric servo pump or a bias peddal box, as when als is on there is no vac for the servo,

Any body want info on this just ask, i can fit and map dta ecu's and map in als or launch control

  • @richardrollings hmm you seem like a modest/reasonable person who i would love to have working on my car... fkin douche....

  • @karsown

    fkin douche.... how so??

so are you saying what i said is wrong?

  • doesnt sound very healthy for the engine ... just saying.

  • @sniffinwhitelines it's much worse for the turbo

  • @loveSc7 true but rally turbo wheels are made of a different/stronger material then street car turbos to handle it.

  • @nallen100 yes you're right

  • @loveSc7 ive seen a few street turbos antilagged to death though. its pretty brutal

  • Those fucking cams must be huge :O

  • at least it doesnt backfire much......lol jk..

  • Why is this car farting? Lol

  • antilag

  • BRR Intercooler i want one of those! :)

  • wow, if it had a bigger tail pipe, it wouldnt back fire as bad. its holding all that pressure from the motor. but still, rally cars are BAD ASS =]

  • i want a rally car.

  • lol the intercooler is cold it said "brr"

  • The intercooler is cold :)

  • mines dont even sound that good

  • "cool" .. NOT

  • im more of a muscle/V8 guy, so i need somebody to explain what this "anti-lag" is. is it just something to get rid of the turbo lag? and how does it work?

  • @cfire600 you just answered your own question!

  • @irishkerry i WAS wondering how it worked, but i did some research already. like a bang-bang.

  • I think the popcorn is done... :D

  • hi the two turbos one smaller and one bigger has been done in the past in early legacys for instance, but it was troublesome, have to make an edit to my previous statement though, this feature is actually mainly present and the sound a resultant of the random injection and ignition cuts that are done by the ecu to prevent the engine revs shooting up because of the open throttle plate, again the open throttle plate is so that you can have the antilag feature working.

  • Not anti-lag. Just an aggressively tuned race motor.

  • jizzed

  • some one define anti lag for me

  • woooooohooooooo REDBULL

  • why is the antilag poopping from idle?

shouldn't even be needing to with no boost so low :/

  • That is really loud. I would definitely get a ticket if I had that exhaust. :) Awesome!

  • God, it even sounds like it would be a fun drive.

  • why is the exhaust pipe so small?

  • because it's just a straight pipe

  • ohh I see , thx

  • @ danodien. the exhaust pipe is small because its a race pipe that doesnt need a huge fart cannon rice muffler. you also need a lil back pressure on these rally cars cuz its not built for high end power,,,more for low end torque

  • surely the anti-lad system wont be running in service as he'll be running in "road" mode as opposed to "stage" mode

  • rally cars don't have anti-lag with on/off switch so you can't turn it off...als is always active

  • @NSRacerMods wrong, any rally car with anti-lag has the ability to turn it off by switch for driving the road sections - anti lag is only used when driving competitively

  • your right you have have a stage map and you have a road map

  • @NSRacerMods Wrong. All ALS equipped cars have a switch to turn it on and off. Dont comment if u dont know

  • is that call misfiring system ??

  • no its called shit your pants system

  • LOL

  • @ssssteve360 or blow out ur nabours windows system ;)

  • yes

  • yea but anti lag is a better name

  • sounds like forth of july in my neighborhood, lol

  • I thought the same shit haha

  • jesus has to be a complete beast love dsm! that 4g63 is a problem.but jesus sounds like someone is in the backround with a shitload of bubble wraps...

  • N4 rally cars do not use large turbos by the way, you need response and big turbos dont help on that. Thats why you can see them with around 290-310hp at most but with lots of torque.

  • So do they keep stock turbo? Or use slightly modded turbos? Like the FP White kind of turbo?

  • well, there are many kinds out there, depends on the budget really. You can see in WRC videos from past years of the 555 subaru world rally team taking the turbo out, its quite small. Remember everything can be modified.

  • Damn i hate it when a car gets too powerful. They sound like it's about to blow up.

  • What sounds like the car breaking to you, is really just the anti-lag system working properly.

  • does the standard evo come with te antilag system too or it's just on the proper rally cars?

  • it doesn't, it's illegal for street use

  • i have anti lag on my car since december 2008

  • why is it illegal? ha just wondering i dont know..

  • because its noise polution and it changes the emisions in such a big way m8

  • Cause, it won't pass smog, at lease is California... In Japan Evos from VI thru IX has a stock anti-lag, but it's not as aggressive as this one.. They're a so loud, that people will actually duck on the streets thinking theres a drive by..

  • rally cars.. launch control is what some evos come with thats for boosting from a stop

  • dam, crazy backfire

  • even easier put, it is so you have a constant boost without lag (with bigger turbos you have lag)

  • well that is not the antilag feature actually working but instead is an "idle antilag" basically all N4 well tuned rally cars are like this, the objective is to have either 0 (atmo) or positive pressure at the manifold while in the lower parts of the maps so that whenever your revs fall more than what they should you still got boost, basically it enhances lower reaction.

  • What you mean is so the engine doesn't work in vacuum while idling?

  • yes, theres quite a large opening either of the throttle plate or a bypass solenoid valve, therefore pressure in the intake manifold after the throttle plate is atmo, and with some tweaks to the maps in the ecu you can even make it positive pressure, although driveability is compromised.

  • the reason they sound like that is coz of such a big turbo u need more low end RPM power soo they advance the timing of the engine to give it more revs on idle to by-pass the problem

  • It's way more than just that for a bang bang setup.

  • nicely put!

  • ye its is so u have better low down RPM power soo the boost is always there because of such a nig high pressure turbo

  • @jasaircraft Then why not put 2 turbo's in one for low revs and one for higher revs, just asking I'm a noob in this so dont get pissed of :D

  • @jasaircraft one of the few people that knows what their talking about on youtube... not just an internet racer...^^^^^^^^^^ anti-lag also cooks exhaust valves and fries turbo housings... so watch out kids... it will burn your wallet...

and if you drive an evo, your transfer case wont last too long from launching with the anti-lag switch activated+racegas+water injection

  • @240SSONLY actually i changed the turbo from the evo 3 months after using als. it was perfect for garbage.

PS - you don't have to use high octane fuel because that will also require some engine mods and on a stock engine it will fuck you up and won't give you too much power

  • @NSRacerMods true... i know metals and how they warp... very few turbos are prepared and valves treated with the right coating in order to decimate heat at those rates...

but yes... any thing i will anti lag will have very precise blue printed selection of valves and pistons as well as porting of the head aggressively

  • that isnt antilag , ive work on alot of evo7,8,9 rally cars , it is just running on a vry high map !!!!!!

  • They were kinda stupid having the anti-lag on while just rolling around slower than a man walks. It took almost as much from the lifetime of the affected mechanical parts as if they were on a stage.

  • who want some popcorn?? LOL..

  • Anti lag is what keeps the turbine wheel spinning in the turbo in between shifts so you dont have to deal with the "LAG" from the turbo having to spool up each time you shift gears. Look up some rally videos of turbo impreza's and you'll see what im talking about. Both systems will shorten the life of a turbo...anti-lag does it much quicker.

  • and its vorbidden for many streets in the world....

  • they must be running that rice crispys fuel. ^_^

  • You must be an ignoramus.

  • yes, rice crispys fuel with cold milk injection i think it is

  • haha

  • Don't know why you and fresh were getting negative comments. That was funny!, or do people actualy think you thought it was running on rice crispies and milk.

  • I dont know why either. I myself personally own an evo VIII. Ive seen plenty of evos and subarus with antilag.

  • haha that makes it funyny cuz rice crispie! lol

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ooooohhh lord, snap crakle an pop, id say ur mad craic wen ur on d beer lad!

  • wth lol!

  • it knocks the timing on so the fuel burns in the manifold not the cylinder, when the fuel hits the hot manifold it explodes and this is what keeps the turbo spinning hence no lag. the pops and bangs and flames are from the petrol exploding in the exhaust not the engine. Its no to turning it on all the time in a road car it would ruin the turbo very quickly buts its fine for short bursts i.e a rally stage or scaring pensioners ;-)

  • that is so sick

  • It sends fuel through the exhaust before your turbo so that the extra gasses keep it always spinning in the boost revs.

No lag! it does overheat and eventually mess it up but for racing it is great.

  • i think it might mess up your turbo after a while 2

  • It keeps your turbo running i think, the sound and the flames are just a side effect of it

  • trust me youd like it on your car, imagine a turbo which was on boost all the time, constantly.Obv if your not into that respect to ya, but if ya like ur car fast this is a good way, if u can afford a new exhaust and turbo every 300miles.Rob
