@cherryb43 because saying someone is a "rip off" is a constructive criticism. Saying I'm a rip off means i referenced India in some way. We're both altos - we both have dreds ( she doesnt anymore) and she plays guitar and i play the bass. People aren't going to always like my voice. that's fine.. It IS a matter of opinion. and in My opinion - you're just sour. Be better to yourself and find something better to do.

@cherryb43 yes love because every alto with dreads is india Arie ^___*. we're both inspired by Stevie wonder. But she plays guitar and i write rock. i've been a musician for 20+ years - I was happy she came out. It proved that female singers were not limited to being hi pitched and permed.

voice is great, especially for the style. just need to upgrade form that ibanez gsr200fm ^_~ tone is a little hollow. i reccomend the ibanez ATK series tho. closest you can get to a stingray without the price.

Oh, btw... Its not 'slapping' thats an upright bass technique misnomered by all these magazines.. Its Thumping & Popping! Just look @ the technique & it all becomes clear. Keep up the good work!

I'm just a newbie bass player -- i'd been playing for a few years but i'm mainly a singer. but i played the flute for about 15 years strong so my roots are music 1st but i wanted to learn bass to funk it up-- love the bass and i'm practicing everyday! thank you for the encouragement it really REALLY helps
