  • what about the way in which facebook makes lonely people more miserable by constantly exposing them to the exciting things which their "friends" are doing via the newsfeed, the comparison increases insecurity and hence causes more loneliness

  • We must nurture relationships in real life; technology provides an opportunity, but using it as a substitute, can exacerbate loneliness. Agreed!
