  • shake shake shake, shake shake shake, shake your tundra, shake your tundra

  • Hells Bells those shocks must have been hotter than hell after that test. With a 1980 something Chevy Nova/Toyota Corolla w/ 250,000 before it puked, a 1997 Toyota Camry w/ 300,000 miles on it and still runs like the day I bought it, a 2000 Toyota Tacoma w/ 200,000 miles and runs awesome and a 2005 Camry with 121,000 that has had 0 problems I am a believer. I've owned one Ford and it was a 1980 something Thunderbird that was fading fast after only 100,000. In my experience Toyota is better.

  • tundra's belly dance lol :)

  • It's the Toyota booty jiggle!

  • 390merc65 needs to get a job with his fuck buddy church400c

  • All this proves is that Ford has the stiffest ride..... I've driven all 4 and Ford has the harshest ride. As far as highest resale value goes, sorry to burst your bubble Toyota haters, but TOYOTA has the highest resale value by far. Ford and Chevy are next, and Dodge has the lowest resale value, but they also are the cheapest from the factory new. The Ford is a great truck, I feel it's a little boring, but they're very tough and build very well.

  • hahaha the toyota is a good dancer

  • The Toyota looks like jello. Id take the Ford anytime :)

  • the toyota looks like a black chick walking down the street . my 92 f150 farm truck has 234,000miles when it stop rolling then i fix it and put 10,000 more the truck has to have 250,000 on it its a good 5.0 but a nut less whore

  • @WR250FGNCC nice brother! i have a 92 F-250 farm truck with the 5.8, 5 speed. and 200+ miles on it. still goin strong!

  • I've gotta tell you, my 09 F150 4x4 is one tough truck. I also drive a Tundra and, while the Ford is slower in acceleration, it's really a very powerful truck and a much more capable truck. The F150 throttle by wire is simply not tuned for rapid acceleration.

  • Ford may have some boring models, but when it is about heavy duty trucks, FORD is a master and F-150 has been a great truck for years and the 2010 is not the exception, with excellent details and equipment. There is no "heavy duty truck wannabe" like Toyota Tundra able to beat it. Tundra is all talk and no walk. Just good looking but nothing usefull. If I buy a truck, I want a real truck, not a shopping day car with truck shape. Give me a F-150.

  • I live down 3 mi of dirt road. Recently, our CSD bought a fleet of Tundras. BIG MISTAKE. The driver who checks my water meter broke down a block away(Think it was a trans mount issue) and I pulled him to the nearest paved road with my 06 250. True story. Shop smart people..

  • One break down and it translates into a BIG MISTAKE for the entire fleet? Thats a pretty hasty assessment to make.

GM´´s president himself apologized for building boring and unreliable vehicles. He promised to deliver quality vehicles. But has he really delivered the goods?

BTW, the Tundra is more powerful than an f150, and shit happens. My older car is a 1991 Honda Civic....its got 200k on it. It´s never had a major problem. It runs excellent.

  • @Rata4You don't reply to hastily, and yes, its a big mistake when 80% of our roads are unpaved and unmaintained. 4 yrs and haven't had a problem with the Ford f 250

  • @Rata4You Tundra more powerful than the F-150?? are you sure? By checking the real numbers (not fanboy statements), considering the base engines available on both models:

    Ford F-150 = 3.7L V6 302 HP and 278 lb-ft torque

    Toyota Tundra = 4.0L V6 270 HP and 278 lb-ft torque

It is clear the F-150 generates more power and same torque than the Tundra, with less displacement. Not to mention the Ecoboost engine 3.5L V6 with 365 HP and 420 lb-tq.

So, who is the powerful now? Next time speak with facts!

  • @Rata4You Yo we don't care about your Civic....Here it's a video F-150 vs Tundra....The Tundra can be more powerful than the F-150 (probably not an F-350 Heavy Duty) but the F-150 has a stronger chassis (Like all americans over Japanese) and a better 4x4 transmission.

Oh and I have the same lawn mower since 15 years...I guess it has some similarities with your Honda engine because I have had no problems.

  • @Rata4You My friends 93 civic barley made over 110K miles before it died.

  • @bradarel22 tell yourself that if it helps you sleep at night lol

  • My Toyota T100 just hit 350,000. miles. Last month I bought me a new Toyota Tundra 2009 and love it.

  • cool my 96 has 215,000 and its the best truck i have ever owned.

  • Here's my thought .. If I drove on such a bad road all day everyday, maybe i'll consider the ford, but because our roads are smooth, i'd choose the toyota any day for its long term proven tests

  • all i know is Toyota will out last ford. and it will always be fords wish to beat Toyota in reliability

  • im thinking toyota drivers will be trading in for some fords or even gm's for that matter in the coming months. reliability issues arising.

  • I'm sure that is a problem that Toyota will address, but in reality when are we going to drive 20-30 mph over a bunch of speed bumps. The F-150 did do a good job at keeping the bed still for sure.

  • @AsphaltCowboy57 Well no, but it's a demonstration for peace of mind. People like that, even I do and I also understand that this isn't quite an every day life test either. It's still something nice to know though.

  • Lay off the drugs dude, theyre making you delusional!?!?!

  • Wow....I knew Toyota's were a lot of plastic, but I didn't realize they made their frames out of rubber too?!?

Just goes to show you it takes more than a little grunt under the hood to build a balanced truck.

  • lol

  • lmfao

  • la toyota se mueve como gelatina

  • and that's why i hate toyota. it's trash

  • Amen, bro!!!

  • @crashmc302 huH? I missed the trash part.

  • Think about these

Toyota only started making trucks in the late 80s and every other American truck co. started in the early 1900s.

Toyota's quality hasn't been as good as any other truck or car company and hasn't been that way EVER.

The pushy salespeople always try to get you to buy the more expensive models just to make a profit by getting you to buy more stuff you don't want and need.

Bottom line, Toyota doesn't let you choose what you want and their vehicles suck.

    Think about those

  • your 100% rite dude ..people are bullshitted into thinking toyota's are so superior over anything from the big 3 ..[THEY ARE NOT SUPERIOR AT ALL] in fact..fords quality is higher then toyota or honda ..i bet a case of beer if you walk into a toyota dealer they wont tell you that though becuase the american people are so into thinking that toyota has suprior quality .[but they dont] ..and that kind of thinking is really from the 80's

  • i'm going to buy a toyota just to annoy losers like you.

  • Comment removed

  • they should change the slogan to " the truck thats failing at all" cause it aint changing shit!!

  • it may do the bumps better but the tundra would go for about 200 000 miles longer look at the old toyotas most of em are still goin ford well i dnt see many old fords

  • you come out my way and i will take you for a ride in my 77 f 150..and we will pick out how many old fords you see here compired to toyotas....there are tons of old fords and chevs still on the road here in pa , but you hardly see [any] older yotas here at all..there are none of the 70'nothing from the 80's..and very few yotas from the 90's here ..so i wood say the fords and chevs way out-last .over work any toyota

  • and where the fuck do you live? here all people drive are old fords. i just sold my 95 F-150 with 200,000 miles on it only thing i did was change the starter.

  • look how much the toyotas chassis twists, was gonna buy one, but now i think the ford is a better option

  • Fords do have the best frames...whether you're comparing hydro formed boxed frames or C cuts.

"So you are saying the F650 is less of a "real truck" than the F150?!?"

    -WIN

Ford's mid duty...in fact most all mid duty trucks INCLUDING SEMI's do NOT have fully boxed frames. Don't believe it? Walk up to a semi and see for yourself.

  • Of course, semi's aren't mid duty vehicles either.

  • us america western west usa gmc gm ford dodge chyrsler mecury chevy shitty idiot stupid junk shit devil evil scam use stealing steal stolen japan engine &design style

  • fuck ford and toyota. DODGE ALL DAY~!

  • The Toyota looked like it was shaking its ass at the Ford haha

  • I am an asshole driver, I am HARD on the throttle at every light, and rag on 4x4 in the snow. I've had a 04' and an 06' F-150 both had zero issues. Each were in accidents (not my fault believe it or not) and I was given a Toyota Tundra as a rental the first time, and a 08' 4Runner the second. The Tundra got an engine knock before I turned it in (about 12k) and the 4Runner's 4x4 system was broken after 2 weeks of me having it. I'm sure it's not common but like I said, I rag on trucks.

  • Jeez, that ford's backend looked like it was about to fall off. Hahahaha!!!!

  • lol you must have some bad eye sight, the tundra was the one whos backend looked like it was going to fall off

  • you mean the tundra?....the bed on that thing was twistin' 'n' shakin'

  • HAHAHA, I drive Toyota Camry 2008 and I really like it, we also have 2008 Dodge RAM TRX4 and before bought it, I drove Toyotas. Sorry cars I love from our dear Japanese Car maker, but their trucks simply suck. We brought it to the farm to test it same as the Dodge, and when we decided not to buy Toyota they got all pissed off at dealership, that we got it dirty. WTF ??? What does Toyota make the truck for HAHAHA. Their Trucks simply suck.

  • Toyota makes the most reliable truck money can buy Tadi. The Toyota Hilux is regularly referred to as the indestructible truck, and is the ONLY vehicle to every be driven to the magnetic north pole.

Saying Toyota's trucks "simply suck" is quite hilarious, and extremely ignorant.

  • Don't get me wrong the Hilux (Tacoma) is a great truck but I don't think it has the towing capacity nor the power to get any type of heavy duty work done.

  • Toyota does make good cars, but mostly in the smaller class, Corolla, Camry, Matrix, however their Trucks are just like Honda's Ridgeline (Avalanche Wannabe) overpriced and not good to be used as working trucks. My buddy has a farm and they only use North American trucks, simply because the beating they take can not be taken by Japanese trucks, to Japs working hard means loading a skidoo on the box and driving up north for 5 hours LOL.

  • Toyota makes the most reliable truck money can buy Tad, the Hilux. To say that Toyota's trucks are not working trucks is simply ludicrous, the big three could NEVER stand up to the wear, tear, and environments that the Hilux can and has performed flawlessly in.

  • ironicly the first think that wen't wrong with the tundra was the 4wd system, bring it to below average reliblity, while the f-150 got the highest rating by jd power first year

  • I assume you are referring to the Consumer Reports reliability rating.

The consumer reports ratings were all over the board. Initially they rated the 2007 Tundra the most reliable 1/2 ton available, and it won their truck testing. Then they randomly down graded the Tundra based on their "consumer surveys" and gave it a much worse than average rating. I believe the rating is back up to much better than average now.

Either way the Tundra's 4WD system is exceptional.

  • it is now,but the new f150 scored the highest possible reiliebilty rating by jd power.First year of a new redesign, witch is better then the first of the second generation tundra

  • I find that extremely hard to believe due to the fact that JD Power doesn't even offer a reliability rating. This is not something that JD Powers tests.

What they do test is Quality, Dependability and Performance and Design.

Tundra currently holds top pick for Dependability w/ 5 stars (F150 only got 4)

Tundra got 4 stars in Performance and Design (F150 only got 3)

Tundra got 5 stars in Quality (F150 only got 3)

Mind you that is the redesigned Tundra VS the old F150... keep talking range!

  • dependablity and releibiltiy are pretty much the same thing, and i was taking about the 2009 f-150,and how it did alot better the first year that was redisgned.then the tundra, witch had problems, but for 2009 the tundra and f-150 are about the same in terms of relibltity

  • The 2009 F150 hasn't even been rated by JD Power yet. No 2009 trucks have.

It's quite clear, rangerover, that you don't exactly know what you are talking about.

Currently the Tundra is rated higher than the F150 in Quality, Dependability, and Performance and Design. There is no other possible way to construe that.

  • just so you know... dependable is a synonym for reliable! look it up! so it basically means the same thing!

And i got a word for you that will make you think twice about the tundra! FRAME. the frame one the tundra blows compared to any f150!

F150 wins hands down over any 1/2 ton truck! if you dont believe me just ask yourself this question! whats the best selling truck in the nation for the past 50 years? just keep that in mind.

    Keep talkin wikiwiki

  • akk, please show me where JD Power offers a reliability test. That is what we were discussing after all. I don't believe we were in English class covering synonyms. We were talking about specific ratings and the person I was responding to was wrong in what he said. I corrected his error. You then tried to correct me, unfortunately for you, I was right and you are now wrong also. Thank you!

  • What i was saying is that you saying the F150 isnt reliable because JD power doesnt offer a reliability test is BS! I said that depandable and reliable basically mean the same thing! I never said that JD does offer a reliablity test so i dont see why you want me to show you where its at! And btw you knew exactly what he was talking about when he said dependability and if you didnt then there's proof that our education system has failed.

  • akkizzle, I never said "the F150 isnt reliable because JD power doesnt offer a reliability test." I love how you jump into a conversation and attempt to call people out when you don't even know what was said in the first place.

Don't worry, I'll clue you in:

Range said "f150 scored the highest possible reiliebilty rating by jd power"

I said no they didn't, JD Power doesn't have a reliability test.

That was the extent of it. Please, quit acting like you know what we were discussing.

  • Let's talk about the Tundra's frame. What is wrong with it? Why is the F150's better?

That sales argument sure has me stumped as well. I am unclear on how having the largest fleet sales for one vehicle (the F150 is by far the highest fleet sales vehicles in the US) means you have a high quality truck. Doesn't that mean it is offered in the cheapest set up? People don't by large fleets of vehicles because they cost a lot. They look for one thing, price, and the F150 is the cheapest.

  • Okay a couple things here! The F150 has a fully Boxed hydroformed frame which is better for offroad and the tundra has the c channel which is more for ride quality and easy of wiring! Now what TRUCK would rather give up some toughness for ride quality? not a real truck! and some people say that in the cab of the tundra the ride is smoother than the f150 in the video. but where is all the payload gunna be at? in the bed or the cab. hmm? which would you prefer to have bouncing around?

  • akkizzle you said the following

"The F150 has a fully Boxed hydroformed frame which is better for offroad and the tundra has the c channel which is more for ride quality and easy of wiring! Now what TRUCK would rather give up some toughness for ride quality? not a real truck!"

So you are saying the F650 is less of a "real truck" than the F150?!?

Thanks for playing akkizzle, you keep putting your foot in your mouth though... eventually you'll get it pried out of there, don't worry big guy!

  • As a matter of fact i am! If someone buys an F650 because they need that bick of a vehicle to do work then they went wrong! A commercial vehicle would probably work much better! Also C channels are used in the F250 and up becuase it is easier to attatch a fifth wheel to and has better support for a 5th wheel while the fuly boxed is better for a rear reciever hitch!which is what most 1/2 ton truck owners use to tow!

  • But which one is more of a "real truck" akkizzle, you never answered my question?

Is the F650 with the C channel frame more of a real truck, or is the F150 more of a real truck because it has a fully boxed frame?

"The F150 has a fully Boxed hydroformed frame which is better for offroad and the tundra has the c channel which is more for ride quality and easy of wiring! Now what TRUCK would rather give up some toughness for ride quality? not a real truck!"

    So foolish when you speak!

  • "As a matter of fact i am!" learn to read dumbass! i answered your question! it was the first sentence in my reply! dont be so quick to criticize

  • AHHH AHAHAHHA!

That is awesome... sorry I couldn't tell which post you were replying to with that comment!

That is excellent though. So by the F150 fans measure the F150 is more of a real truck than the F650!

Apparently you don't judge your trucks by towing, hauling, engine power, transmission capability, frame strength, HP, TQ...

Apparently you only measure your trucks by that extra little piece of steel that closes up the frame??

  • I'm simply saying that most people that buy the f150 buy it cuz the don't know what to do with all their money! you hardly ever see anything like that towing or doing any real truck work! That is what in my opinion make the f150 more of a real truck!

  • You can't quite get anything right can you??

  • I think this discussion is over akkizzle, you are clearly a moronic bumbling fool which knows nothing on the subject in which we are discussing. Good day to you, and I hope you find pleasure in whatever it is you drive

  • rare occasion where i will give you a "thumbs up" wiki haha

  • eh wiki i can agree 50/50 with what you say. yes the tundras C channel is easy to wire, but from this video does it look like the tundra has a better ride quality? haha, frame flex does not equal higher standards for ride quality. It has to deal with suspension, tires, and seat comfort. NOT how much your chassis flexes around obstructions in the road. And you know just as well as i do that a fully boxed frame is far superior to a C channel when it comes to towing/hauling

  • as for the sales argument! you say people look for one thing... PRICE! hahahaha were did we go wrong with you! do you realize that if this is true that everyone would be driving the same exact truck! ha cuz only one can be cheapest. obviously people look for more than just price or else you wouldn't see such a variety of vehicles. and are you bragging about how much the tundra cost. wow the ford comes standard with some options toyota doesnt even offer. people look for quality man.

  • akkizzle,

I never said "people look for one thing... PRICE!"

Once again, another misquote, congrats on that keep up the hard work!

I said "People don't by large fleets of vehicles because they cost a lot. They look for one thing, price."

"Large fleets" would be the key to that sentence, smarts!

  • People don't buy Large fleets... Companies do. you should really try being more specific!

  • Not all companies buy large fleets, that wouldn't be specific enough smarts!

However, EVERY SINGLE large fleet purchase was made by a person! I think I'll stick with using the word "people".

If you need help getting that foot out of there just let me know man... you've got to be running out of room in that mouth of yours.

  • Is that person buying the fleet for themselves or the company? Who's money is it? True a person made the purchase for the company! but not for himself

  • I don't recall including that the "people" were buying the fleets with their own money or for their own use? Please, repost where I said that if it is indeed true!

Come on son, this is quite ridiculous, you are spinning your feet here (and your feet are BOTH in your mouth right now). You have no argument that could get you out of the hole you have dug and now you are attempting to call me out for saying the word "people" when clearly it was a suitable noun for such discussions.

  • I know you never said that. thats the point! nevermind man you are way too thick headed to understand what im gettin at here! and btw you have drivin this way off topic!

  • Hey Grammar Grader (that's you akkizzle):

    "Who's money is it"

    "Who's" should be Whose.

    "but not for himself"

A sentence is typically begun with a capital letter and ended with either a period, question mark, or exclamation point (.?!).

  • Do you really want to get me started on this subject buddy?

  • There are two reasons why the F150 is the #1 selling truck.

    1. Silverado and Sierra sales are not combined

    2. A whole lot of construction company's buy F150 Reg Cab F150's because they are the cheapest 1/2 ton truck available.

Neither of those two reasons have ANYTHING to do with quality or dependability.

  • Okay well Silverado and Sierra are 2 different trucks so why should they be combined? Also Reg Cab long beds also have the best towing capability which is why companies buy them. Not just because they are cheap!

  • The F250, F350 etc... aren't the same as the F150, yet they are all lumped together as "F-Series" which gives the "F-Series" the #1 selling vehicle title.

If you just broke out F150 sales (which Ford doesn't do) it most certainly wouldn't be the top selling vehicle in the US.

  • What does the F150 come standard with that the Tundra doesn't even offer akkizzle?

Your average truck consumer (not fleet purchaser) certainly does weigh quality into the factor. The top issues for 90% of truck buyers however have nothing to do with quality. They are "what truck did my dad drive" and "what truck is cheaper".

The Tundra has higher quality ratings across the board than the F150, trying to argue quality on your end is totally pointless!

  • bottom line! if you believe other than your just retarded! no offense

  • Fuck Jap sushi truck!

    Get a real American truck!

    White Power!

  • i hate all the people that drive non american cars this proovs that american is better all around

  • the DODGE RAM is light years ahead of these two pieces of shit

  • agreed with that one, it doesnt even move on this test

  • i wonder how much paint got chipped off with that tundra bed bounce..i wouldnt be happy at all

  • $3,800 worth of body work and it was only able to go through the proving grounds once.

  • living up to toyota standards i guess

  • I want to see an F-250 on the this test track... it has the same frame as a Toyota Tundra. Who in their right mind would drive ANY truck this fast on a road like that? I'm thinking there is more to a truck than a bouncy truck ass at high rates of speed on a never-seen-in-reality test track.

  • NOOO! the F-250's frame is NOT the same. It is alot thicker and heavy duty then the hunk of shit tundras frame.

  • Well, get Ford to do a comparison on those two and we'll see. I'm not sold. The Tundra frame is a LOT better than anyone seems to give it credit for. It's designed to be lighter on the back end. You give any engineer some time and they'll find a course that will play up their strengths and make their competitors look stupid, I don't care if you're Kia (the crappiest you can get).

  • the tundra's frame is a C channel because it is cheaper to build and lighter, this means that it lacks in quality. The 1 ton and up trucks are C channel to make it easy for upfitters to attach things to the frames. could you imagine just trying to run wire through a fully boxed frame?

  • Your a clown kid The Tundra's frame is cheap like most of this truck. light in the back end? lol!! I suppose the brilliant engineers designed on purpose the bed bounce experienced by testers traveling empty on normal hiway commutes as many reviewers reported!? Your oblivious to reality. Everything but the motor, brakes, transmission and rear dif. is substandard and cheap next to contemporary 1/2 ton trucks.

  • The Tundra's frame is more expensive to produce than any of the Big Three's. Wrong again guinmaan!

  • Ford's is the most expensive not only is it fully boxed but it is hydroformed.

  • In doing further research I could find no information that supported either side. I am unsure which frame costs more.

If you have a reliable source that says one way or the other I would be all ears hotrod.

  • Im dont think that either toyota or Ford has posted anywere how much a frame of theirs costs. Im sure that if you REALLY wanted to know you could call up each company & they might be able to tell you.

But the Fords not only requires more steel, it is also hydroformed both of those really add to the price of a frame.

  • Tundra is a good truck but the bed bounce is uber shitty.

  • Tundra has a great engine. Everything else is shit. (No fully boxed frame among other things.)

  • Oh please a 6.2 vortech just to compete with the 5.7 i force. Just goes to show you how crappy american trucks are. you dont see toyota crying to congress for money because american made cars suck. I love ford but they need to step up to compete in certain areas to beat toyota.

  • lol ok u know the new tundra its only good for wasting gas due to the HUGE engine and for towing, it sucks at everything else compered to the competition . the suspension on the tundra is HORRIBLE! compered to the ram, chevy and ford, and as for reliabilty, its too early to tell if this new truck will be releable as a little corolla, kus for the older tundras i see 40 american trucks for every tundra out there

  • the CEO's are morons, yes, but that doesn't make the cars they pay people to produce shitty. you mistake the people in charge of a company with the people that create products for a company. go take a high school economics class & then maybe you'll have something mildly intelligent to say. also, did it ever occur to you that maybe they're out of money because they have to pay people better wages for better vehicles? maybe if they sacrifice quality for cheap labor, they'll be more like toyota.

  • here's an analogy for you to better understand; imported cars & trucks in america are like walmart--they do great in a recession because everyone has to sacrifice what they WANT for what they can AFFORD. as a result, cheap, shitty cars & trucks become more popular.

  • samburger, I don't even know where to start with you... your whole premise is flawed. The UAW doesn't represent 3x better labor than, say, those at Toyota, yet that's how much more, on average, they're paid. I'm as patriotic as they come and have been a Ford fan since birth (owned MANY Fords/Lincolns), but to say that Toyota or Honda is CHEAP and more AFFORDABLE is blatently wrong. Go compare the sticker price on a Tundra to any domestic; furthermore, examine the 36 month residuals on a...

  • Tacoma vs. Ford Ranger, or Tundra vs. Dodge. You need to, IMO, reconsider. Not saying one is better than the other, but simply that Toyota and Honda deserve a LOT more credit than you give them. Kia and Daewoo... you can pick on them all you want, their crap (even though Hyundai and Kia are slowly getting better). Actually, China's Cherry Motors is probably the cheapest you could get if you want to talk turkey.

  • Actually, Toyota and Honda deserve far less credit than they actually get in contemporary society. this myth of superiority borders on religious cult status held by woefully ignorant gen x'rs and many other sheeple. Toyota spends less than ANYBODY per car built in the industry! This is a fact. The japanese myth of superiority was primarily perpetuated by superior dealer to customer service as opposed to building superior vehicles.

  • Maybe we should shut the fucking border until american cars can be sold competitively in Japan. What a joke. Your a moron to contend that US car makers need money because their cars aren't good. Apparently your not paying attention to reality. Toyota generally is cheap shit. If you work on vehicles and seen horrific deaths and injuries to people in reoar ender crashs while riding in the back of a Honda or Toyotas and I'm talking mini-vans and camrys and accords you'd think again.....

  • ....these camrys and accords only recently are marginal or abv. avy in IIHS rear crash tests. For several decades the Camry and Accords we're among the worst rear ender death traps in their segment - all the while the sheeple couldn't buy enough of them. Recently in Van. a newer toyota sienna van broke down? and was smoking up in an electrical short/fire and was rear ended by a BMW suv. The Sienna split in two like a tin can and killed three kids. Toyota quality at work. At least it crashs..

  • .....the sienna crashs decent in the front - unlike the previous generation Toyota Previa mini van to which crash testers exclaimed was the least safest vehicle in it's segment they've ever tested - death trap from all angles! Toyota lied about hp and gas mileage and recalls for decades. Industry insiders are well aware of how Toyota secretly fixed defects without customer or regulatory knowledge thus building a false record of reliability. Check latest IIHS crash testing to see how Toyota..

  • could not earn even above avg. in IIHS rear crash tests and especially of note their cheap head rests that failed in some vehicles and generally were well below par for the course. Ford has the most vehicles with the highest overall safety distinction in the industry in IIHS testing. Gee why would anyone want problem free cars (last 4 models released zero recalls) based on proven volvo platforms when they can buy 20 yr. old dated camry and corrolla platf. based suvs and the like, and pay extra

  • people should realize that plenty of Toyotas and hondas have problems. Resale value is no mark of quality just market perception. Just as Consumer Reports vehicle ratings is completely based on subjective data and should absolutely not be accredited or held as any benchmark regarding vehicles. I've never seen anything but the opposite of the perceived trend that jap. imports are more reliable. From what I've seen and experienced the only difference is that imports cost more to repair.

  • Guinmaan once again you spew forth these utter lies.

Check out the IIHS ratings for 2009... guess who got the top safety pick in the "Large Family Car" segment... a Toyota Avalon. It had a higher rear crash rating than the Crown Vic, Impala, and Chrysler 300. Great argument big guy!

In the "Midsize" category the Honda Accord also got a Top Safety Pick, its rear crash test rating was higher than the Avenger, Malibu, and G6 and was the same as the Fusion.

Once again, you prove your ignorance.

  • So, what your saying is they want to protect they're behind because of the stories(95% facts) about samurai's being homo?

  • About time we see some intelligent answers. The purpose of the video was to show how much the frame flex's. I say ya to Ford, Chevy and Dodge. And !@#$% to the Toyjoka.

  • i love how amidst the arguments over whether chevy, ford, or dodge is better, we can still all come together & say they're all better than imports.

  • About reliability, in Europe we know cars too.

We make the Merc, Audi's, Beemers, Porsches, Ferrari', Lambo's, etc. And we can compare their reliability with USA cars too, not only with Toyota

    Well, not a chance.

That'ss why the American big 3 carproducers are now on intensive care.

    Not Toyota.

  • Is this the only test when Ford can beat a Thundra?

  • no theirs reliability and quality too.

  • oh and chevy beats them in hp, torque, speed, reliability, quality, and just about everything else you can name. why, do you like the tundra or something. and dont say no chevy doesnt have more hp and torque the 09 has a 6.2 vortec which produces 410 hp.

  • In Europe, we love USA cars cuz they are so unreachable for us cuz the government makes them expensive.

I think the white Dodge Bullnose Superduty from movie HEAT is the best looking truck all times.

    But I am critical.

6.2 litres is considerably more than 5.7 litres. In Europe we would get at least 100 hp more out of the difference..

Therefore in Europe we always compare hp together with motorsize (in litres, not Cubic Inches)

Few pickups equal the Tundra's 5.7 standard 381 hp.

  • People have to remember that this is Ford and they wouldn't show anything that makes a other truck look better. I am a Chevy guy and I think that they are the best trucks.

  • toyotas suck quit your bitching!

  • ford is much safer then other brand because if you strip the top there are sring like support so if you crash you wil fly back ward and there would be less damage i know that a toyota would roll around cause it light

  • i HATE toyota and DESPISE ford, but honestly it looked like the ford did better.. im a die hard dodge fan

  • I am sure you won't have long to wait thundra... what a name.... now that there is funny!

  • Until something breaks on my Tundra, everything on the Ford is just heavier...

  • the f-150 weighs 4600lbs up to 5100 depending on options.

  • F150 weighs up to 5950 lbs. depending on options.

  • it looks like the in car cam used it the ford was way more high quality thus having an anti shake funtion, rather that the tundras if you look closer

  • OOOOH NOOOO, rust on the lug nuts!!!! Give me a break. Any truck that has had it wheels taken off will have rust on the lug nuts thats what sockets will do. Are you trying to say Ford makes a special lug nut that will not develope surface rust. But maybe, its a Ford so its probly made out of plastic.

  • Do you really believe that. Here's a good read with pics. Last week at the dealer's new Tundra lot, they were showing rust on the chrome bumpers and lug nuts and had never been sold yet.

  • What, do you think Ford unbolted cross-members and sawed the Toyota's frame to make this video?

Do you think basic physics is different at a Ford proving ground?

Fact is, the Tundra is a mediocre truck with a potent powertrain. The F150 is a suberb truck with a less potent engine. If you want to win a drag race buy the Tundra, if you want build quality, decent ergonomic and basically everything else buy the Ford. Pretty simple.

  • Well stated. I watched the Chevy comparison vid and the Ford and Chevy really did the same. No the Chevy doesnt have the highest tow rating, but F-150 and Silverado are still the best trucks made. Plus I think Ford embellishes their tow ratings just a little much, maybe 500 lbs.

  • Everytime I see that Turdra bowl of jello bouncing around like that I wonder just how bad will it be in 3 years when the frame is rotting away and the body rust is taking over everywhere.
