Hmmm, Schiff is a pretty smart person and I usely agree with his economic view points though on this one I don't agree with him totally. For one the senate and house are smart they know for the most part what they do (premeditated). Meaning they know the negative consequences of there actions. I'll stop there but I think U get the picture.
@Scoforever Because the free market has never worked for Primary Care. That is why it is illegal in other countrys that have better health care systems.
@Scoforever WRONG for profit health insurance for primary care has never been able to cover everyone. They tried this in Switzerland and in 1994 they reformed their system and made it illegal. The US System is ranked 37th in the world and every other country in the world that has better care for profit health insurance for primary care is prohibited by law as it should be. People shouldn't be denyed care just so Stephen Hemsley can make another billion.
I don't advocate the current US system. You would know that if you had searched for "healthcare" on Shanedk's channel and watched the videos about healthcare.
@Scoforever In this video Schiff is attacking a strawman that is used by people that defent the status quo. This health care bill that is passed doesn't put the HMOs out of buisness and that is the problem. I wish it did put them out for good.
@Scoforever NO I advocate putting an end to a industry that makes billions by killing people by not giving them health care when they need it. That is what the for profit HMOs do
Then repeal the Health Management Organization Act of 1973.
And you do advocate violence. I live in the UK. I can't opt out of paying taxes towards the NHS. If I try, the government sends increasingly threatening messages. Eventually it comes to the police arresting me. If I resist, I could be beaten, or even shot. If that isn't violence then what is?
@Scoforever 1. I do want to repeal this. 2. over 90% of Americans would trade our laughable HMO death pannel system for your NHS. I would love to have what you have.
@Scoforever The other strawman is that HMOs shouldn't be reqiuired to cover people with HMOs because that would be defeating the purpose and then he says that it would be like giving fire insurance to someone after their house burned down. Of course you can't get health insurance for a house that burned down just like you can't get health insurance for dead people.
I'm seriously thinking of leaving the US for the Philipines. I was stationed there years ago, they speak english and love americans. Besides, they are part of asia, which is rising, unlike the USA, which is in decline. The 'mercun sheeple have become leeches. They want big daddy gov't to take care of them cradle to grave, NO CONSEQUENCES! I am sick of paying for corrupt gov't and useless eaters. At least in the Philipines, I'll only have to pay for corrupt gov't. No Barney Frank & Obama either.
@kotash2 sgp has socialized health care and one of the best medical systems in the world. The US has all the medical talent, and medicine, but what stops the people from reaching the best health care are the inept politicians and law makers and the senseless greed that goes around the US.
It's not the paying taxes that is so bad in of itself, it is the NO REPRESENTATION part that I don't like. We get absolutely NOTHING via representation in return for our tax dollars. They take our taxes, and use our own money against us. We are funding our own demise. THAT is the problem I have with it. Why don't you try Uranus, since that is where your head allready is anyway......
WHOA WHOA, slow down there Mr. "logic-n-facts". Would you please TRY to use your emotions a little bit more in debating these complicated issues!!! DON'T YOU CARE ABOUT THE CHILDREN??!!
not only are the majority of our lawmakers fools but they are ironically and sarcastically challenged so your humor will be lost on them. We are in such a world of S&^T.
Geithner in particular has proved himself to be everybit the arrogant prick I assumed him to be.

Freedom to get fucked by HMOs that is his idea of freedom.
You need to put these bloodsuckers out of buisness and get SIngle Payer.

@MsZeitgeist85
HMOs are supported by the Health Maintenance Organization Act of 1973.
Watch Shanedk's videos on healthcare.

@Scoforever I did. The HMOs are most of the problem. We need to kill them and get Single Payer.
MsZeitgeist85 1 year ago
@MsZeitgeist85
Why do you need single payer? What's wrong with the ideas suggested in Shanedk's videos?

"Because the free market has never worked for Primary Care."
The US before the 60s was very close.
"That is why it is illegal in other countrys that have better health care systems."
It's illegal in the US too. Are you going to ignore the numerous government interventions in healthcare?

Having worked for insurance and with medicare, BOTH need to go. Open market is the only way to lower prices while keeping standards high.

Opps, hate to break it to, but the Philippines have universal health care now, its called PhilHealth.
Somalia still has no national health care system, in fact you won't even have to pay any taxes in Somalia, you should give them a try.
