So BOB ZOLLINGER is a monopolistic tyrant...right? Not exactly "news". The whole bit about having an agenda isn't exactly news either, especially coming from the Herald which is itself, borderline xenophobic. Me thinks the poop is telling the vomit that it stinks.

Huh? This video has nothing to do with Kolb. Never did. So, your comment makes absolutely no sense. Typical of those who try to defend Bob Zollinger. No leg to stand on.
Unless you're just saying they both stink in which case I misunderstood you. I've never seen Kolb be Xenophobic, but if that is the case, can you elaborate? When? How?
Oops, you are right, this isn't about Kolb. However it is kind of funny that I carelessly inserted the wrong name, because I do think that the two have some common characteristics (see poop and vomit) I will repost. But what I meant to say is that Bob Zollinger is a "monopolistic tyrant". And the comment about the Herald is in relation to it posting your video on its webpage.
Kolb only posted the video on his website. He had nothing to do with CARMIG or the production of the video. I've gotten nothing but praise from the community since I posted that second video, which was the only one I promoted. Like many people in this community, Kolb is aware of Zollinger's abuse of power. Arguably, he has a financial interest in Zollinger's exposure, but his posting of the video was at least in part support for what I'm doing.
Okay. I take you at your word. Hopefully you understand the red flags about the potential Kolb linkage. Despite my distrust of Kolb, were it not for his posting, I would not have been exposed to your work. So there's the silver lining.
The enemy of my enemy is not always my friend, but in this case, I support your criticism of BZ 100%. I can't stand the aristocratic jerk.
Concerning Kolb and Xenophobia, his coverage of the pro-Palestinian demonstrations, immigration and even the Navajo Nation are at times dripping in fear of "outsiders".
To continue ... I simply made a criticism of your video. You criticized the paper's publisher who does not do any reporting and second, from your comments above, assume that the viewers of this video have heard your radio broadcast. How far did that reach, anyway? So, my intent is to neither attack you personally, as I do not know you, nor defend the publisher's actions, but, rather, point out the oxymoronic idea of you as a "media watchdog."
Um, Zollinger doesn't do any reporting? What are you talking about? And if you do not know me, how did you know where I worked? You're not making sense here.
Who is criticizing you? Certainly the watchdogs need watching , as you so plainly put it. Good initiative, but you are an unobjective watchdog because you work for a local municipality that has an a vested interest in the paper's publisher.
Yes, and my connection to the city and the Independent has been fully disclosed. And people can decide for themselves how my interests may or may not be influenced by that.
As a self-proclaimed "media watchdog", don't you think it would be prudent of you to inform your viewers that you were, until recently, a reporter for The Gallup Independent and covered the City of Gallup before quitting the newspaper to take a job with the city? Certainly that information would shed a different light on those who might think you were objective.
If I was trying to hide that fact, why did I do a radio interview a couple months ago broadcasting across all of Gallup my transition from the Independent to the city? I make no secret of that, and if anyone has any questions about it, feel free to ask. Seems to me, you couldn't actually offer up any defense of Zollinger's integrity, so you had to resort to a rather flimsy ad hominid attack. How sad is that?
Nonetheless, I'm going to leave your comment for all to see. Unlike Zollinger, I won't criticize people in our community without opening myself up to criticism myself. Don't you think, Dean, that if Zollinger is going to bash people in his paper that he print letters defending those people and criticizing himself and his paper? Wouldn't that be fair and honest? How about you answer those questions instead of attacking me? Either way, you're free to speak your mind.
Zollinger is crazy - a dangerous sociopath and narcissist.
Stay away from him...

Good work- keep on the path.
Gallup is a good place with a lot of good people.
Let's keep them here so we can attract more good people and good bussiness.

Thank you very much for your support. I know a lot of people in Gallup feel this way.

Doesn't seem characterstic of "media watchdogs".
Hmmmm..... sad.
