Great review. I'm jealous you get to drive a fun car. My dad had an 03 and I drove it when I could but not as much as I could. Of course in flatland boring MN there's no "canyons" but still a cool car. A little to shaky at certain points but otherwise great!
you need some new camera mounts and deffinatly an auxilary/external mic. but all your angles and shots are great. if your a 1 man show this is a brilant all round. btw... very good and acurate review on the car. your spot on.

I love the mx5 but... im not sure if i like where the one is going,dont like the stupid grin on the front or the folding hard top. is the new 2.0 liter engine there to pull the extra weight ? the mx5 of old is my favorite and the most fun you can have because they kept it simple id rather have the old 1.6 modle what with fule prices in the UK hitting £1.20!!!! im sure the new car will sell like hot cakes world wide but dont forget your roots mazda
lol, what a fag. first off you showed a picture of an AP1 s2000 (2000-2003) the ap1 compared to the earlier miata's was a joke and guess what it still is, even for this one. u compared the cheapest miata to the s2000's price. what about the difference in the GT hardtop model like u where driving that shit is almost the same price. plus the s2k was made in late 1999 and it is significantly faster, more focused on sports driving, comes standard with a locking diff. and roomier,s2k is way better
1) Pontiac Solstice, Saturn Sky and Honda S2000 are all out of production so you can't really compare them.
2) You test a PRHT but do not mention that it's $30k when all said and done. To non-enthusiasts they might take it as the base MX5 comes with all those things.
3) Camera work was horrid.
I do like the shot of the top going down. That was cool.
lol yeah that's how it is in my crx i'll feel like i'm blowing everybody out of the water and then i'll look at the speedometer and i'm going like 45mph, but it really does make things fun.
great review, but next time try taping down the cam so it doesn't shake it it's mount as much, really takes away from the footage. Otherwise, great presentation.

Pontiac Saturn & Honda arent really around anymore. This is truly a segment that is all about survival of the fittest. Miata is a survivor through the good times and even our current bad.
Not to mention that all those competitor cars you mentioned are now discontinued ^^. i am personally waiting for the ND Miata, should be out by 2012, going to be smaller, as light as possible, and i believe it will have mazda's first fuel injected engine.
or a used rx7? huge fun.
