  • I was wondering, what do you do with all of your projects that are older? Do you save them, break them and harvest them for materials, sell them? I was wondering, because you make a LOT of different dioramas.

  • @GreenAiden555 sometimes keep, sometimes give them away, or take them apart. I have a wall rack full of them too.

  • I made better shit in kinder garden.

  • @BlitzCup

Really? Then post videos of it. Is this his best work? No, but dammit, he posts so many different videos and tutorials they all can't be BEST DING EVAR, LULZ0RZ. Seriously, look through everything he's made and tell me, and everyone else, you've made better. Go ahead, I DARE you.

  • Would it make a difference if I used glue and water instead of that mixture of flour, also would it still work if I made it half the size u did?

  • @battlechimp94 I think it would all be ok.

  • how about if i dip paper towels into plaster and apply???

  • @halfmumi Yes, that would work very well. I have tutorials on that.

  • been making my own minis after watching your tutorial...

  • @Artisanprophet Cool!

  • now make an army of uruk-hai

  • @snickers763 Great idea. I made an army of lizards. Uruk hai would be cool.

  • @epicfantasy can you use celluclay for the helms deep walls?

  • @300spartanswin Yes, that would be excellent.

  • @epicfantasy Would be cool if you make more LOTR projects, im a big LOTR buff xD

  • @stupify4life I love LOTR and will make more projects. I currently have a playlist of my LOTR projects. Uruk hai sword, balrog diorama and more.

  • @epicfantasy awesome, will be looking forward to more LOTR stuff/medieval projects

  • could you please write out the materials you use in the description of your future vids??

it just makes it sooo much easier when using your video as a reference

    - thanks!

  • @brainofjung thanks, good suggestion. Check the description of this vid for a link. It goes to a page on my website with more instructions, parts list etc. Have fun!! Be sure to check out my Minas Tirith paper castle vid.

  • if you make mordor it would be cool

  • woah holy shit. book marking this immediately. thanks dude, you just saved me a ton of money on my hobby budget by switching to savvy. Games Workshop is pretty, yes, but this is almost as pretty for so much cheaper it's no competition. Thank. You. So. Much.

you probably saved a lot of people's credit scores with this vid! :D

  • lol is horrible...

  • @epicfantasy no problem, yeah so think about it i would love to see it!

  • can you put lego people on it?

  • @repulic5 Sure can!

  • @epicfantasy what did you use for the base? a regular piece of cereal box cardboard or another kind? if so, which kind?

  • @superthit911 A thin piece of wood is better. Cardboard is not strong enough for the weight of it all.

  • @epicfantasy Ok. So where do you suggest to get some piece of thin wood? Thanks. I'm trying to do this for a book report. Based on a haunted forest with people running through. How do you suggest to build the people?

  • @superthit911 What a terrific idea for a project. Gotta send me pics when its done!! I believe this piece of wood I used is the bottom of a drawer from an old piece of furniture. Be creative, look around. can even be a sheet of plastic material. Tiny cardboard cutouts would be good for the people, or carve them out of balsa wood, or make them out of clay. have fun, great idea. I can see it in my minds eye already.

  • @epicfantasy Thanks!! I'm not as creative or artistic as you but I'll try my best!! I hope this can work out, my book report is due on Monday so I have to hurry yet take my time. Thank you SOOO much!

  • Can you use pva glue instead of flour and water?

  • why paper towels instead of news paper

    ?

  • @MrMariokiller paper towels give a bettter end shape. The newspapers tend to dry in a stiffer shape.

  • @MrMariokiller paper towels bend easier

  • thank you, with this toturial, a made a hobbit hole for lotr sbg, im planing to film it and post it, would you respond to that?

  • that kinda cool

  • I use polystyrene to make my stuff with messy but great for making bases with, good vid:)

  • im making a helms deep diorama for school its geting really good but im making it from cardboard and some material that i dont know the name in english xD its like spongy and dark grey and it rocks for the mountain

  • @PvtElite floristic foam?

    Zufällig aus Deutschland?

  • I think I made the best amateur Helm's deep ever lol

  • very very nice....

  • wtf...

  • were u high when u mad this

  • good points on the crumpled newspaper to make things look rocky.

got me started on my first diorama... thanks lots

  • one question.......is the Paper Mache Halms Deep good Terrain for Warhammer????or is it to Breakable

  • Definitely sturdy enough for Warhammer. You just have to make sure you stuff any inside parts real tight with wadded newspaper so it isn't weak. And you might want to paint it with a waterproof sealant to protect against spills. Don't want beer drinking buddies to ruin it!

  • @epicfantasy thank you with this video, i made a hobbit hole for warhammer!

  • You are very welcome. This was a fun diorama to make. And nice work on your hobbit hole for warhammer. I have always wanted to make a diorama of the Hobbit Shire. That would be such a fun project! It's going on my list.

  • I didn't know u could make paper mache out of flour and water thanks alot

  • @fbvrc All Paper Mache is, is flour & water that you dip paper in and spread across a pre-layed out surface. So I hope you were being sarcastic.

  • nice job. It looks great

  • u really should do papper mache the mountain, but the deep should be made with more detail i guess...

  • Made A D-day scene for skool using this and various other techniques from you. THANKS! A+ + extra credit.

  • thats cool

  • Great job, Its great how in all your videos, especially this one, you show how inexpensive items can be used in place of many commercial items. Keep up the great work! Thanks for all the work you do.

  • Looks great!

  • Thanks!

  • you should have shown us how you painted the mountain/rocks because they look amazing!!!!!! if you had lord of the rings risk you could put the little soldier on the diorama!!!! 500000000000 stars!!!

  • You are right, the mountains came out great. I should have shown more about that. I used a washing technique with various colors. Little bit of solid color then wash over it with lots of water on a brush.

  • yep i love your channel you got me started making dioramas!

  • What's the difference between paper towel and newspaper when it comes to paper mache?

  • The paper towels will definitely give you a little more detail.

  • i dunno but i always use newspaper

  • Me too, almost always use newspapers. The paper towels are just more flexible and tend to form better details, they are just softer and more flexible. Better for detail in this case.

  • i cant make curved walls... i can but it becomes wack and not good. cool and thanks 5/5

  • The trick is to draw the curved top and bottoms of the wall first. cut them out then tape the sides to them. Next time I will show how to do this. Its a neat technique

  • Awesome!

  • damn makes me wanna do paper mache lol 5 stars

  • Paper mache is kind of fun, its also very cheap because its just flour and water, no need to buy and muss with plaster.

  • u forgot the sewer drain where the explosion happens!!

    5*

  • Good point Teddy! I had thought about it! But I figured nobody would notice. You are a true LOTR fan!!

  • Nice job:)

  • Thanks Stumpy, Not much info out there about using paper mache for dioramas. I figured people would like it because its cheap, easy and the materials are very accessible. This is going in my diorama book.

  • badass

  • can u make a toutorial on how to make an aztec temple plz plz plz plz

  • An aztec temple would be a great diorama subject. It's on my list! First I should probably do an egyptian pyramid scene, lot of people ask for that.

  • ok that'll be great

  • thats sickk

  • This would be great for warhammer lord of the rings!

I'm really glad your getting back into putting up lots of diorama vids!

  • Thanks for watching, I am writing a book on fantasy dioramas! Hopefully it will be done by the end of the year.

  • nice work

  • Thanks! and thanks for watching!

  • awsome will......

  • Thanks! Fun and easy little diorama.
