  • JUdging by a lot of these comments Youtube really is full of morons!

  • This is utterly hilarious, why are you all walking in gangs of five, are you trying to look intimidating? stop...

  • The Sinn Fein vote in S Belfast won't and would not have had made any difference in the upcoming General Election. Why would they stand down in Fermannagh South Tyrone. Gildernew doesn't even take her seat, so ineffect it a wasted seat and Rodney Connor is an Independent anyway not a tory as well as the fact that it will be counteracted by the seat the SDLP will win in SBelfast.

  • @curb your larry david The SDLP are officially a fascist party just ask O'loan..Hitler would be fuckin proud.

    FUCK STOOPS

  • @curbyourlarrydavid Sinn Féin are a nationalist party. They dont take their seat because they believe that Irish nationalists shouldn't do so. Anyone who votes Sinn Féin in the Westminster elections are well aware of this and if they do vote Sinn Féin they don't want to be represented in the British Parliament. You don't have to be a master of Psephology to work out that most nationalists vótáil Sinn Féin. P.S. Rodney Connor has said he would have taken the Tory whip.

  • Margaret Ritchie standing in front of a Catholic church. The sdlp are no more than the political wing of the RC church. Pathetic politics and pathetic people.

  • The sdlp should have agreed a joint candidate in fermanagh/south tyrone. The unionist agreed candidate will back the tories. So in effect the sdlp have assisted Cameron and his tory cuts party.

  • I would not vote sdlp if they were the last party on the planet earth. They all need to go to a weight reduction programme. Seriously Pudgy or maybe the camera added 10 pounds. Rubbish sdlp.

  • vote splitters!!

  • Margaret Ritchie called her party the S.D.L.Poo on Hearts and Minds. That just about sums them up !

  • They voted aginst war in Iraq, and how did that work out?

They voted FOR the war in Afghanistan and sent a rep there at the tax payers expense on the invitation of the British MOD!!

  • @umbrey There was no vote in House of Commons for the war in Afghanisatan so that's a lie, and the SDLP voted for an amendment to the 90 Days Detention bill to reduce it to 28 days and then voted AGAINST the bill in its entirety, so that's another lie! When George Bush came to Hillsborough in 2003 Gerry Adams was in shaking his hand while Mitchel McLaughlin was getting booed outside by the anti-war activists, some anti-war stance there!

  • @nineteensixtyseven Why has the SDLP been sending reps to view British army manouveirs in Iraq and the tax payers expense, your leader fluffed this question when Adams asked it on a live debate, maybe you could shed some light on it??? Also your arrogance in not negotiating a deal in fermanagh South tyrone has sounded your death Knell, you are a FINISHED party!!

  • Vote SDLP Stoop Down Low Party For A Better NORTHERN IRELAND

  • All these parties lack such substance. They don't have any unique policies.

  • snore

  • Ha typical, you want a united ireland yet you want money from westminster....dream on!

  • On may the 6th ill be voting SDLP and yes i am a protestant, the fact is i would rather see SDLP voted into south down than see sinn/ira voted in!! and there are many other people in south down saying the same thing!!!

    VOTE SDLP

  • I see the SDLP are playing the "kid on a swing" card to pull votes. Shame they're gona lose their seat in South Belfast.

  • Lost my respect when you slapped the hand of SF away for a pact and now you have doomed good people to a sacterian pact created unionist "representative"

  • SDLP are yesterdays lapdogs of the unionist gerymandered state.Sinn Fein all the way to a united Ireland.

  • @umbrey So you would vote for a party that doesnt bother showing up at Westminster, and as a result have no say in for example, a Referendum on a united Ireland? Yeah, theyre workin hard for a united Ireland all right

  • @nialld1990 SDLP MP's Turned up at Westminster a wopping 5% of the time!!.SF do not need to go to W'minster to deliver for their electorate. They did'nt have to do it for the GFA,St.Andrews,or the devolution of P&J.

The power is devolved to the North of Ireland, and most of all they won't swear an oath of allegiance to a foreign Queen. They'll be getting my vote!!

  • @umbrey Most MPs aren't in Westminister most of the time. If the SDLP were, you be complaining about their travel expenses. They are not the political wing of the PIRA, nor do they have connections with an army council, or any organisation of a paramilitary disposition, nor do they seek selective truth commissions about the troubles.

  • @umbrey Their leader, get this, hasn't said that she doesn't believe "in the economy". They don't have an education minister who is rightly derided by every other political party. They don't live in an imagined republican utopia. They have maintained the borad support of the majority of the southern political establishment for decades. They do not have high-ranking members involved in the cover up of child abuse. They interested in uniting the people of the island, not just the politicians.

  • @soloasdubh you can't argue that sdlp attend w'minster and sf don't on one hand, then after being told how the sdlp barely attend anyway(5%), that it doesn't matter cos 'most MP's aren't in W'minster..' they either attend or they don't!!

Last time I checked the IRA had 'left the Stage' so how can you be the political wing of an army that no longer exists?

what about that oath of allegiance to the English Queen?Have you ever heard of a lacky?

    Sinn Fein X.

  • @umbrey 5% is a lie that Gerry Adams just picked from thin air, Noel Thompson read him out the correct figures on Hearts and Minds and they were more like 20-30%! And that's high because NI business isn't the main thing on the Westminster agenda. The SDLP got the Desmond workers back their pensions, opposed 42 days detention and voted against Iraq. More than Sinn Féin can say.

  • @nineteensixtyseven Alistairs attendance 5%. stoops are just lazy abstentionists.

Yes they voted against 42 day detention but votedFOR 28!!

  • @umbrey believe me I am not in favour of the SDLP either. I have lost complete faith the nationalist/republican movement. Sinn Fein are a party of murderers+ liars, SDLP are..well a wasted vote tbh. And I cud never bring myself to vote unionist. And they wonder why many dont vote? We need more people working on everday matters, call in normalising British control all you want but the atm i couldnt care if we are part of a united Ireland or not, far to many other things to worry about.

  • @nialld1990 A party of Murderers???? Say that anywhere in public and ur up for liable, your a coward and your party has constitently failed the nationalist people of the North, which is why your have become insignificant in politics, what you are now is a spoiling party in the likes of Fermanagh Sout Tyrone, but u will get your come-uppence this time around FINISHED!!

  • @phoenix1916 did you read my comment at all? I quite clearly said i wasnt in favour of the SDLP. And I am more than happy to say it in public as I have done on many occasions. Its Sinn Fein who are cowards

  • @nialld1990 how are sinn fein cowards, why dont you stand for election then, ill tell you why cause you would not get one single vote, another post nationalist lol away on limey boy!

  • cringe worthy. sdlp voted for 28 day detention and it will be the 50 plus lib dem mps who will hold the balance not the 3 or 2 or 1 sdlp mp(s)

  • @michael1916 ehh.. in doing so this helped prevent 60 day and 40 day detention. After rejecting the 90 day limit those who wanted a shorter time limit were compelled to vote for the 28 days or it was likely a 60 day limit would have stuck. Lesser of two evils

  • @michael1916 Just for clarity to the story, when the Gov then later decided to to try and up it again from 28 days to 42 days the SDLP voted against it. Remember how the DUP controversially voted in favour of this motion and their votes made it narrowly pass through (it passed by the number of DUP MPs there, amid calls that they were bought). The plan for 42 days was defeated however at a later date when the House of Lords overwhelmningly rejected it .
