  • Thanks for this video. I will be buying my first trike in a month or two but I will be sure to check out re-installing a seat on a Greenspeed. Looking at this video, I might have to find a more user friendly trike.

  • @govan44 Naw, it's really easy to get the bolt back in there. I was just new to the trike, and even then I didn't have any trouble getting that bolt in, until the camera was rolling. :)

  • I would drill and tap the holes in the frame to accept a quick-release axle spindle and then I'd cut slots in the tabs on the seat up to the holes so the seat tabs would fit over the quick-release.

  • Thanks for the video, warts and all.

Great lookig trike. Trying to figure out whether to go for a GT3 or GT5. Mainly for the disc brakes on the GT5.

How do you find the brakes on the GT3?

    Thanks.

  • Hi Carl! I never had problems with my drum brakes on the GT3 or the Ice trikes I've ridden. My brother, Joe, did say he had a slight fading problem on a huge hill he was descending. While the disk brakes do have better stopping power, I've found they tend to be noisier and harder to maintain than the drums.

    Hope that helps!

  • Thanks for the information it has been very helpful. The videos are great.

Safe riding to you and you brother.

  • No problem :) Both the GT3 and GT5 are great trikes!

    Have fun!

  • @carlbentley80 I fully agree with theaesthetics. Drum brakes are as good if not better. Slightly less braking power but still stop on a dime. Never had problems with my fully loaded ICE even on Alp decents. The specs of the GT5 maybe higher but not for the brakes.

Gosh how I would like to try a Greenspeed. It was one of the trikes on my wishlist along with a Catrike Road. The QNT was 300 beer less then the Greenspeed. And not bad either.

  • hehe :) hope il dont get same problem with my Scorpion fs!

  • I'm sure you'll be fine...as long as there's no camera running! Seriously, this wasn't really a problem with the GT3 once you got used to doing it.

  • do you need help??

  • Obviously!

  • Hi,

I am going to buy a trike, but I can only afford one! I live in hilly terrain, so downhill stability at high speed is really important. I like the looks of the Greenspeed gt3, but is the wheelbase too short? With your experience, I would really appreciate your recommendations.

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

Nope, I think the GT3 would be a great choice, as it's one of the most stable trikes I've ridden. The relatively low seat height along with a nicely proportioned wheel width/base makes for an extremely stable trike. In fact, the GT3 is so stable that it's a blast riding tight circles on it just to see how tightly I can corner. Try to check one out before buying if you can to see what you think.

  • Thanks so much for posting this video. I haven't laughed like that for a long time. I actually had tears in my eyes!

  • Me too! Hehe. I had to leave it in, it was so funny - Even though it makes me look less than coordinated.

  • Gee. You make it look so easy. haha

  • That's called talent ;) It's really not hard at all. You just need to concentrate on what you're doing and not on talking and keeping your body in a certain position :)

  • Would need more work on the desing so the seat would line up so the bolt would go in faster ;)

  • I love the folding feature on this trike! I've gotten a lot faster after a few weeks of practice :)

  • Yes, everyone gets a little slower when a camera is running. Don't worry! The clever foldinf system of the Greenspeed makes it worthwile. Thank you for posting this video!
