I am a HUGE Flyers fan. Not the NFL anymore. (I think we all know why.) Canada doesn't have the financial pull that the US does in major sports. Most of the owners of the teams are not American. Canadians are far more passionate for hockey than most Americans but unfortunately most of the major sports in the world are here because of the almighty dollar. I agree with your point whole heartedly.

Most of the major sports in the world? (American) Football, Baseball and Hockey are not counted as major sports, only thing americans have in major sports is basketball. You've might have meant major sports in N. America though.

How is America a poor hockey market? Don't you mean Canada is a poor hockey market? There are only 5 tams left in the NHL that are from Canada. More then half of the NHL players are from Canada. What would you know anyway? You're 14. You probably have never been to the US. Canada is a poor market. That is why the teams relocated to the US. Do your research before you try and shit on 305 million people. Sounds pretty ignorant to me.

Canada is a poor hockey market because NHL teams have to survive on corporate investments rather than television coverage. But it'd be dumb of me to say, "if hockey were as popular as football, nobody would put a team in the south", 'cause uh, then it'd be popular in the south.

You can say that about most teams in the northern part of the States. Just not teams that i mentioned earlier. Maybe San Jose is selling out now, but LA and Anaheim aren't even close. If San Jose was losing they would be in the same situation.
